Kos

Kos has a Mediterranean climate, which means the summer is long and hot and the winter is very mild and wet.

If you want to avoid the summer crowds, the best time to visit Kos is in June. With quieter beaches and an average temperature of 23˚C, it’s perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The warmest time to come is July and August. Temperatures are around 26˚C, but it’s not unusual for them to increase to 35°C from 12pm to 3pm. Make sure to wear sun cream and stay out of the shade during the hottest part of the day.

If you need to cool down from the heat, make your way to the beach and enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea. The water is very mild in the summer and remains warm enough to swim in from June to October.

There isn’t much rain in the summer, which is the best time to go to Kos if you don’t want to get stuck out in a heavy downpour. The average rainfall is just 3mm but it increases to around 147mm in December.
