Loved it!

May 2022 | 64lynsayd

We are just back from a week stay with a 4 year old and absolutely loved the hotel. Very family friendly while also being clean and modern with excellent service and good food and drinks. I found the all inclusive package to be very good value and will definitely be returning some time soon.

Fantastic hotel for families

May 2022 | Kitchensink13

We stayed 8th - 15th May and the hotel was fantastic. The four pools (three outside) have plenty of sun loungers and something for families or adults only. The staff are exceptional and even the guests were incredibly friendly. The beach is only a 15 minute walk away as they have their own private route. When you get to the bottom turn left because the beach and the caves are beautiful. If you turn right you can get to Alvor in about an additional 20 minutes (20 minutes overall if you don't take the beach route). The food is great but like anywhere there'll be things that aren't exactly the same or to your liking. The a la carte restaurants seemed a bit confused as to whether they're a buffet or not so often we'd go and get dessert in the main food hall instead of there. All in all an incredible stay and well worth visiting.

A lovely hotel needing a tweak or two

May 2022 | JillM1885

The hotel opened up in April. They still have one or two training problems with some of the staff. Eg. Cleaning under your table while you’re still eating there and doing less important jobs rather than serving you first. Queuing for drinks was sometimes a problem too because cocktails are available and they take up a lot of the bartenders time in making them. Maybe the hotel should have a separate cocktail bar or allow people to get their own beers. That said, most of the staff are proficient and bend over backwards to help you. It’s great if you have pre school children as there are many families with young children and the dining room can be chaotic and noisy. They do try to keep one part of the Dining Room more quiet and relaxed. The hotel is clean and rooms are lovely. Very comfortable bed and great walk in shower. A fair selection of food to choose from, the usual all inclusive type of meals. We ate in the Italian and Surf and Turf restaurants and had lovely meals in both of them. You can choose 2 nights of your holiday to eat in the themed restaurants. Book as soon as you get there though, as they are extremely popular. The evening entertainment was dire. It’s all done by the animation team and they work extremely hard but the hotel should get some outside professional entertainment in for some of the nights. The hotel is about 30 minutes walk out of Alvor, so the entertainment is important as not everyone wants to catch taxis etc. Beautiful beach and pool area. There is transport to the beach daily via a small train running regularly from the hotel. You can walk along boardwalks to Alvor if you go down to the beach and turn right or if you turn left, a lovely walk over the cliffs to Praia de Rocha. There is a regular bus service with stops outside the hotel. We went to Lagos for the day on it. All in all, a good holiday but the hotel needs a little tweaking for its star rating
