Yes, all package holidays are protected by the Package Holiday Regulations, and we take our responsibilities super seriously at Thomas Cook. We hold an ATOL for packages including flights (find out what ATOL protection means), and are an ABTA member, as we want you to be as covered as you can be if anything unexpected happens.

Did you know, a ‘package holiday’ is an actual thing, not just a general term for a fly-and-flop tour operator beach break!

1. • If you book two key elements of your holiday together, such as your hotel and your flight, that’s defined as a package holiday.
2. • Example of a package holiday: you find a great deal on the Thomas Cook website for a holiday to Sicily. The price includes 7 nights at Hotel Baia Azzurra and you select easyJet flights from Leeds Bradford. You’re given a single price that includes both your accommodation and your flights. That’s a package holiday!

Some package holidays are All Inclusive, and some aren’t - it depends what you prefer.

1. • With Thomas Cook, you’ll have a full range of options to choose from: whether you want to have three meals, snacks and drinks bundled together in one package on All Inclusive; prefer the idea of a Half Board or Full Board holiday; or love the freedom to try out all the local menus on Room Only or Bed & Breakfast.
2. • Some hotels are only available on an All Inclusive basis, some have a mix of different meal options, and others have no All Inclusive package at all.
3. • You’ll see what’s available at each hotel when you look at the different room options we offer.

Just remember:

1. • The board basis only applies to your hotel, not the flight, airport or local area.
2. • Every hotel has its own definition of exactly what’s included - no two All Inclusive package deals will be completely the same.
3. • Some holiday destinations have put restrictions on All Inclusive drinks.

1. • Airport transfers are not a standard part of a holiday package, though you can book them through us - we’ll give you the option to add them when you’ve picked your hotel and flights.
2. • We give you the flexibility of flying with a fantastic choice of airlines - scheduled, low-cost and chartered. You can even fly out with one and back with another! So, we prefer to let you choose how to get between the airport and your hotel, too.
3. • You can book airport transfers or car hire with our partners when you book your package. Or, use local transport - it’s totally up to you! Just make sure you check what’s available in your destination before deciding to go it alone.

Your package holiday can be however long you want it to be!

1. • You can tailor your holiday package to match the amount of time you’ve got - whether you’re looking for a short break to hit ‘refresh’ or a longer getaway for the ultimate in relaxation.
2. • With the incredible range of flights available across our site, so we don’t have to fit our packages around the flight slots of a single charter airline (though we do have some of those available too!).
3. • The main restrictions to the length of your Thomas Cook holiday package will be if there are limited flights to your destination or if the hotel doesn’t have much availability during your preferred dates.
4. • So, when you book with Thomas Cook, there’s no frustration at having to stick to the old ‘standard’ 7, 10 or 14 nights!
