Weather in Zante
Zante, also known as Zakynthos, is a Greek Island in the Ionian Sea. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate, which gives the island plenty of warm sunshine all year-round.
Since summer can get very hot, the best time to visit Zante is in spring. March to May has a beautiful warm climate with just a few short showers scattered over the months. The average high is around 19°C in April and climbs to 23°C in May.
If you love the heat and sunshine, the best time to go to Zante is in the summer. August has a peak temperature of 32°C, which is ideal for sunbathing and working on your summer tan.
Humidity levels are quite high in the summer. However, the island welcomes cooling northwest winds that tend to be stronger in the late afternoon. Winds help to cool you down in the summer heat, but it can be easy to misjudge the strength of the sun. Make sure to wear sun cream, even when the weather seems slightly cooler as UV rays tend to be quite high.
