Paradise Island
4164 reviews
Paradise Island is a family-friendly hotel in the resort of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. It's a short walk from the hotel to the town's beach. Two breakwaters protect the shore here, meaning the small bay, with its crescent of sand, is almost free of waves. Looking inland you can see the mountains of the nearby national park. The hotel is built in a modern style that reflects local Spanish architecture.
At the centre of Paradise Island, there are two outdoor pools, whilst children can enjoy two separate shallower options, as well as a mini water park with a variety of slides. Other activities to keep the younger guests entertained include a playground, as well as a disco and clubs for kids, juniors and teens. When you feel the need for a spot of relaxation, you can visit the spa and unwind with a massage or beauty treatment. In the evening, the whole family can watch a show or be entertained by live singers. If you fancy dancing, there's a disco bar that stays open until late. You can stay active with an aerobics class, archery, darts, football, tennis, or with a workout at the gym.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Paradise Island's buffet restaurant, prepared with local produce. Two additional eateries offer Italian and Asian cuisine. You'll also find kids' options and regular themed nights. Snacks and drinks are available poolside throughout the day, or you can relax with a drink in the lobby bar until late in the evening.
The one-bedroom apartments are ideal for couples and families looking for rest and intimacy. They are 43m2 housing a living room with two sofa beds, a separate bedroom, fridge, microwave, kettle, TV, telephone, safe, WiFi and either a terrace or balcony.
From Paradise Island, it's 1.5km to Flamingo Beach and 2km to the centre of Playa Blanca, one of Lanzarote's most popular resorts. It runs around a headland and along the coast, which is lined with sandy beaches. In town, there's also a harbour and a bustling promenade, with lively bars and seafood restaurants. The neighbouring town of Castillo del Aguila is 5km from the hotel. Here you can hire a boat from the marina to explore the island's coastline. Playa Blanca's water park is 1km from the hotel. If you'd like to see some local scenery and Lanzarote's famous dormant volcanoes, Timanfaya National Park is 20km away.

A enjoyable holiday
Enjoyed our stay at Paradise Island. Loved the water park and all the pools. Food was very good. Sun beds was a problem as they are all reserved by guests very early in the morning. Rooms are lovely, clean and spacious but beds are very very uncomfortable. I ended up with back ache most the week. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Great place
Our 10 day stay was excellent. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. The pools are spot on and the water slides were a hit with the whole family. Our room is fairly basic but clean and comfortable and plenty of space for a family of 4. There's a TV but limited channels. Fridge. The food is non stop. There is always plenty to eat. Lots of salad and pasta based dishes and pizza and chips. I'm vegetarian and the choice was OK.. but be wary, occasionally what the label says is not accurate. The location is stunning, with mountain views. The most local beach is beautiful and a 20 to 30 min walk. The beach is yellow sand and had a few shops and bars. There is also a reliable free shuttle bus that runs to a bigger beach about 15 min drive away which is also yellow sand and stunning views. Great for snorkeling. Bars and shops are here too. You can climb up the nearest volcano which is about a 90 min walk in total up and down. Definitely recommend, the views are stunning. Also went on a day trip to rancho texas which is a zoo with a swimming pool and splash zone. Definitely recommend. The dolphin show was out of this world and was 120 euros for the whole day for the family including coach there and back. The one disappointment is the lack of entertainment in the evenings at the hotel. There is a kids disco and karaoke but nothing specific. I'd recommend this location to people who are able to walk easily as quite hilly. Great stay and I'd definitely come back.
Over ran by all inclusive brits
Everyone rushing to get a sun lounger at 4am was a joke so embarrishing come on brits fix up ♂️ Ants crawling over you all throughout the night made me sick literally millions in my room Best part about the hotel was when left the front doors for an excursion.. volcano tour was great Waitresses were amazing and it all the hotel has going for them.. big smiles pleasant welcome and beautiful looks The food ♂️ It’s okay for few days but the repeat is a joke Decided to eat and drink out more than in Cleaners were very lovely and had so much respect The managers always looked angry and female life guard was very rude every day looked like she would rather be at home All in all I won’t be returning even though lanzorate was insane and beautiful Thank you to waitresses such amazing people Not worth the money go elsewhere
