Paradise Island
4164 reviews
Paradise Island is a family-friendly hotel in the resort of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. It's a short walk from the hotel to the town's beach. Two breakwaters protect the shore here, meaning the small bay, with its crescent of sand, is almost free of waves. Looking inland you can see the mountains of the nearby national park. The hotel is built in a modern style that reflects local Spanish architecture.
At the centre of Paradise Island, there are two outdoor pools, whilst children can enjoy two separate shallower options, as well as a mini water park with a variety of slides. Other activities to keep the younger guests entertained include a playground, as well as a disco and clubs for kids, juniors and teens. When you feel the need for a spot of relaxation, you can visit the spa and unwind with a massage or beauty treatment. In the evening, the whole family can watch a show or be entertained by live singers. If you fancy dancing, there's a disco bar that stays open until late. You can stay active with an aerobics class, archery, darts, football, tennis, or with a workout at the gym.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Paradise Island's buffet restaurant, prepared with local produce. Two additional eateries offer Italian and Asian cuisine. You'll also find kids' options and regular themed nights. Snacks and drinks are available poolside throughout the day, or you can relax with a drink in the lobby bar until late in the evening.
The one-bedroom apartments are ideal for couples and families looking for rest and intimacy. They are 43m2 housing a living room with two sofa beds, a separate bedroom, fridge, microwave, kettle, TV, telephone, safe, WiFi and either a terrace or balcony.
From Paradise Island, it's 1.5km to Flamingo Beach and 2km to the centre of Playa Blanca, one of Lanzarote's most popular resorts. It runs around a headland and along the coast, which is lined with sandy beaches. In town, there's also a harbour and a bustling promenade, with lively bars and seafood restaurants. The neighbouring town of Castillo del Aguila is 5km from the hotel. Here you can hire a boat from the marina to explore the island's coastline. Playa Blanca's water park is 1km from the hotel. If you'd like to see some local scenery and Lanzarote's famous dormant volcanoes, Timanfaya National Park is 20km away.

Best holiday ever
The holiday was the best I’ve ever been to I will definitely come again. The food was amazing the entertainment was very good especially Marc and osan . The activities there where very interesting and fun you never get bored and there is a good variety of things to do
Nice hotel but could be better
Spent 11 days here, visited 5 years ago and and decided to come back. It’s a lovely hotel with nice rooms, gardens and services. The staff are all hard working and helpful, along with the entertainment staff. The entertainment crew are lively, energetic and enthusiastic, I was impressed despite having no young kids. The rooms are nice and spacious, they are clean and nice balcony. The beds are very hard and the wifi is soso bad I’m glad I didn’t pay for it. The food is good, can be repetitive. But for the most part we enjoyed every meal we had and we liked having all the options with the 2 restaurants . The drinks are definitely watered down and the plastic cups and coffee cups didn’t impress me but understand why as there’s alot of kids around. The pool is always clean but you have to wake up so early to get a bed and the pool has alot of inflatables in it so it’s hard to actually swim without being hit. The entertainment at night is dreadful. The band they hire are great but it was either them or karaoke. If you don’t have little kids then the nights get boring. Once again shoutout to the entertainment crew for doing such long hours and still being happy and fun even late at night. Overall the hotel is clean and worth the money we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
3 star hotel
The hotel is clean, rooms are ok with balcony. The food is nice, no problems there. Water park good for a break from the over populated pool. Things that need focus…… Very poor if any air con in main restaurant and lobby. It gets very stuffy when eating and where to cool off apart from own room. No water in room for when you arrive. Not enough sun beds, the wars start at midnight to book the beds. Getting up at 6 doesn’t cut it here. Quiet at night. Gym is half working, tread mill is dead. No go karts as advertised. Had a nice holiday but unfortunately would not return.
