Paradise Island is a family-friendly hotel in the resort of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. It's a short walk from the hotel to the town's beach. Two breakwaters protect the shore here, meaning the small bay, with its crescent of sand, is almost free of waves. Looking inland you can see the mountains of the nearby national park. The hotel is built in a modern style that reflects local Spanish architecture.

At the centre of Paradise Island, there are two outdoor pools, whilst children can enjoy two separate shallower options, as well as a mini water park with a variety of slides. Other activities to keep the younger guests entertained include a playground, as well as a disco and clubs for kids, juniors and teens. When you feel the need for a spot of relaxation, you can visit the spa and unwind with a massage or beauty treatment. In the evening, the whole family can watch a show or be entertained by live singers. If you fancy dancing, there's a disco bar that stays open until late. You can stay active with an aerobics class, archery, darts, football, tennis, or with a workout at the gym.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Paradise Island's buffet restaurant, prepared with local produce. Two additional eateries offer Italian and Asian cuisine. You'll also find kids' options and regular themed nights. Snacks and drinks are available poolside throughout the day, or you can relax with a drink in the lobby bar until late in the evening.

The one-bedroom apartments are ideal for couples and families looking for rest and intimacy. They are 43m2 housing a living room with two sofa beds, a separate bedroom, fridge, microwave, kettle, TV, telephone, safe, WiFi and either a terrace or balcony.

From Paradise Island, it's 1.5km to Flamingo Beach and 2km to the centre of Playa Blanca, one of Lanzarote's most popular resorts. It runs around a headland and along the coast, which is lined with sandy beaches. In town, there's also a harbour and a bustling promenade, with lively bars and seafood restaurants. The neighbouring town of Castillo del Aguila is 5km from the hotel. Here you can hire a boat from the marina to explore the island's coastline. Playa Blanca's water park is 1km from the hotel. If you'd like to see some local scenery and Lanzarote's famous dormant volcanoes, Timanfaya National Park is 20km away.

Dont go off the negative reviews

May 2022 | Natepr2

Before we travelled we noticed a few negative reviews and got abit worried me and my missus and two kids 4 and 2 all had an amazing time food was an average all inclusive all edible but not the best after a couple of days. drinks a plenty cocktails better than the amstel on self serve tap in my opinion rooms are showing there age but still nice little apartments I've stayed in a a lot worse nice big rooms good showers but yes the beds not the comfiest cleaners came everyday apart from Wednesdays the pool areas and water park nice and clean. Entertainment not the best for adults but that's because its more aimed for the kids which both mine enjoyed all in all great family holiday would return to playa Blanca 100% but would prob try a different hotel or rent a villa but through no fault of of the hotel or staff I just don't like going back to the same places. Don't let the negative reviews put you off most of these people have silver spoons up there asses my family enjoyed are 10 days there with a couple of nights out in between to break up the stay

When on our second day at the hotel, my 11 month old was sat around the pool eating the food what was survived at the pool bar of a paper plate, the life guard asked us to not bring bottled beer to the pool which we then put in the bin. The manager then approached me and my family saying no food or glass around the pool, when my partner asked him if he was telling the rest of the families around the pool the same and why he’s just addressing the matter to us he asked my partner “who do you think your talking to” then started pushing my partner by his arm which he later addressed as “touching his arm” on reporting the matter to the hotel they repeatedly asked if we wanted to leave the hotel and receive a full refund. Never once had an apology over the aggression or embarrassment the life guard and manager brought to me and my family. This has ruined our holiday completely. The hotel emailed me saying ‘crystal is forbidden around the pool area’ which I returned a photo of numerous families sat eating food around the pool on actual plates (not paper) which wasn’t addressed by any member of staff.
