Weather in Lefkas
The weather in Lefkas is warm and sunny for most of the year with slightly cooler temperatures in winter. The best time to visit for the most sunshine is in the summer for up to 14 hours of warm sunlight a day.
Temperatures are usually around 20°C to 25°C, making Lefkas a fantastic year-round holiday destination. The warmest month is August when temperatures increase to 30°C.
For cooler weather, the best time to go to Lefkas is in the winter. It isn’t too cold and temperatures rarely fall below 10˚C with pleasant highs of 13˚C.
If you’re a fan of windsurfing and snorkelling, the crystal clear waters on Lefkas’ coast won’t disappoint. With an average sea temperature of 25˚C, it’s hard to stay away from the beach. The waters remain quite mild until late autumn when they drop to around 17˚C.
Most of the region’s rainfall spread throughout the winter months, with most of it falling in December. The average rainfall is around 184mm over 14 days. The weather begins to dry up in March, with temperatures continuing to rise towards May.
