Sol Lanzarote All Inclusive

Sol Lanzarote All Inclusive is a family-friendly hotel in the bustling town of Matagorda, on the south east coast of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. The hotel has a bright and modern design, with whitewashed walls, balconies and surrounding greenery. Rooms overlook exotic gardens, mountains and long stretches of sand where you can relax and enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Nearby you’ll find the thriving town of Playa de Matagorda less than 10 minutes away by car. This local hotspot has a selection of Spanish restaurants, serving traditional Canarian dishes, as well as a range of lively bars to enjoy a refreshing drink before sunset. For a fun day out with family or friends, you can discover more of the island's scenery on a mountain bike trip, or try sailing out on the water.

There are three outdoor pools and one shallow option for tiny tots at the resort. And if you enjoy keeping fit on holiday, you can go for workout sessions at the gym. For some downtime, you can head into the centre of Matagorda and book a massage or beauty treatment at one of the local spas, while the kids are being looked after at the hotel.

Your taste buds won’t be disappointed either with a sprawling buffet serving a selection of meats and melt-in-your-mouth desserts. And when you need a place to kick back and relax, the In & Out Lounge Bar is waiting. As for light bites such as sandwiches, pizza and ice cream, there’s a snack spot located by the pool. Or, there’s a supermarket fully stocked with drinks and nibbles. After dinner, you can enjoy some family-friendly entertainment at the hotel, before hitting one of the resort’s popular karaoke bars.

The hotel runs a kids' club for children aged between five and 12, where they can take part in a range of games and activities including fancy dress, treasure hunts as well as arts and crafts.

Rooms boast a contemporary flair with wooden floors and bright white furnishings. Relax in spacious interiors equipped with air-conditioning, a TV and safe. And bag yourself a sea view option for unparalleled views on your balcony. Superior suites take luxury to a whole new level owing to the state-of-the-art kitchen appliances and mini bar. But for a sprawling queen size bed and lavish living area, the Xtra Sol room is a must. And for families with young children, baby cots are available upon request.

7 nights at the Sol lanzarote

May 2022 | Dan C

Stayed at the Sol lanzarote on the 12th May for 7 nights to celebrate my 50th. Hotel is all inclusive and on the beach. Transfer from the airport is about 10 minutes. I would get a taxi next time. Hotel staff are very helpful and pleasant. The selection of food is varied and something for everyone. You certainly won’t get hungry. Hotel is very clean and the staff are always cleaning the tables and moving cups and plates. Cleanest Hotel I’ve ever been in !! The beach is fabulous and about 20 paces from the hotel. The aeroplane’s fly past the beach and hotel to land which is great to watch. The location is quieter than puerto del carmen with a chilled out vibe. You can get a taxi ordered from reception to del carmen for 4€ or use a scooter on the cycle lane from the hotel and runs along the prom. (Great Fun). Well recommend for all age groups. Will be back next year. Room 2620

Great hotel in fantastic location with exceptional staff

We stayed for 10 nights in 2 sol view rooms adjacent overlooking pools & beach. It was our first family holiday in nearly 3 years since the pandemic. We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness. The staff worked extremely hard. The rooms were cleaned daily, pools areas hosed down daily other communal areas disinfected daily & staff constantly clearing away empty cups, glasses, plates etc. The rooms are very spacious with all the equipment you need, fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, hairdryer, retractable airer on balcony. There is an additional charge for the safe which I think is a must. It cost us €24 for 10 nights. We stayed 3/5 to 13/5 and the hotel was probably at 50-70% capacity although you still had people reserving sun beds although there was no need! Don’t think the pool were heated although we still managed to use them daily. There were various stations around the resort to help yourself to soft drinks, tea, coffee, beer and wine. Cocktails and spirits the bar staff serve who were very swift and friendly. There is a beach bar which also serves snacks when the main restaurant is closed. This looks over the beach, which is reached via a promenade which you can walk or scoot into Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise. Beware of cycle/scooter lane as you step out of door from hotel as it right on he lane, need to check before you cross. We hired electric scooters which are dotted along the promenade, very easy to use, download the app and you are ready to go. Beach is mainly sandy with a few rocks dotted about. Good for swimming. Hotel is located close to airport and saw lots of planes landing. You can walk or scoot up to runway and watch. Some people maybe put off by the aeroplanes but we enjoyed watching them. The food was of good standard although it is buffet every day with no al a carte restaurant . They have a speciality every day, Chinese, seafood, Mexican,Italian. Mexican was especially good. The restaurant can get quite noisy like a canteen. We chose to sit in the outside areas which was more quieter. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and thought it was good value for money and the photos on the hotel website are exactly how it is. Would recommend.
