FAQs

FAQs

What counts as a sunshine holiday?

It’s a package holiday built around sunny getaways, usually somewhere short-to-medium haul. Thomas Cook’s sunshine holidays include destinations from the Canary Islands to Turkey, with mostly All Inclusive hotels, though Bed & Breakfast and Half Board are also available if you’d rather eat out.

Are sunshine holidays All Inclusive?

Most are, but not all. All Inclusive is standard at many of our warm-weather hotels, but Bed & Breakfast and Half Board are available too. This gives you more freedom to explore local restaurants and try different places to eat during your trip.

Which destinations offer the most reliable sunshine?

The Canary Islands stay warm all year. Turkey, Cyprus and mainland Spain see the highest temperatures between April and October, while Egypt stays hotter for longer if you’re travelling outside the main summer season. The right destination depends on when you’re travelling and how far you’re happy to fly.

Can I find a cheap or last-minute sunshine holiday?

Yes, especially if your dates and destination aren’t fixed. Outside school holidays you’ll usually find more choice at a better price, though the most popular hotels tend to book up first. Travelling in spring or autumn can also help your budget stretch further.
