Hotel polynesia is a beautiful, clean hotel with friendly, accommodating staff and lots to do for all of the family. The rooms are spacious and modern, we had a sea view and loved waking up to it. The buffets have lots to choose from and the two other restaurants are very nice if you fancy a change for dinner. You're never left hungry if all inclusive, when the buffet isn't open for breakfast/lunch/dinner, you have the snack bar which has plenty to choose from. My four year old loved the kids club and we also availed of the babysitting service for our one year old. The staff are wonderful especially Rocía, who looked after both our girls. The fact that you have free access to the water park and lunch/drinks if you have all inclusive is great and quick free shuttle from the hotel. The spa was very nice and great that you could bring kids in from 10-2. The only negative I would have is that myself and my husband had massages and we didn't find them worth €90 each, we like a deep massage, so if this is what you're looking for I was advised that a physiotherapist would be best. We were given a free hour each to the spa to compensate, which was a nice gesture. I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a fantastic time

Great looking hotel but sadly doesn’t tick all the boxes.

So myself and 2 friends (one with a 4yr old) recently spent a week here all inclusive at the beginning of may 2022. Iv been to alot of all inclusive hotels across Greece and turkey but this was my first time to an all inclusive in Spain. First impressions, it’s a great looking hotel, definitely picture perfect interiors with water features, little terrapins and lovebirds etc. Reception staff were great, arrived at 2 in the morning and great service getting us to the room. The room itself was great, no issues at all, couple of beds, bathroom, fridge and a hairdryer that worked, what more can you ask for! Exploring the hotel we found the mandatory hotel shop (actually one of the best and largest hotel shops iv ever been to), a kids club area which turned out great for some diversion for my friends child and a well equipped spa with gym and indoor pool (for ten euros each visit). Heading outside we get to the one largish pool that wasn’t heated (this is in may), one pool side bar and lots of sun beds (no issues getting one however the type of sun bed doesn’t allow you to adjust the height so your permanently laid down I’m afraid to say for any book readers out there!). This is where things start getting a bit bad I’m afraid because looking at the hotel it describes night time entertainment at its outside stage, 3 bars, a beach club and water park and 2 a”la carte restaurants. The outdoor stage and bar near to it was closed the entire time we were there and looked like it hadn’t been open since the start of covid 2019, the other two bars including the pool bar where ok but if your like me and like a cocktail they only do 4 in pre mixed jugs. Never not had a cocktail list before so that was strange. Moving on. The hotel is located on the top of a cliff/ headland so the beach club is not on the beach (it has no beach, be warned), the water park? Slides currently under construction and a few very shallow pools for the kids I’m afraid. You can explore the other two hotels in the 3 that are all linked together however I paid for this one so I’m judging this one only. (The beach club is at one of the other hotels) Food. Ok so the main buffet was great, good mix of foods and themes each day and standard fussy child food always on the go. The two a”la carts “Polynesian and Chinese”, we the Chinese opened for 3 days, was good but is a buffet type restaurant, still nice tho. And the Polynesian wasn’t open all week apart from one day for a wedding. Great that! Now Myself and my friends are all early thirties, so after dinner about 7 or 8 we would head to the bar that is open until 12. They would always have some kind of kids entertainment going for a bit but it always felt it was designed to drag the kids from their parents for a bit so they could chuck as many of the 4 pre mixed cocktails down their necks as possible. Absolutely no entertainment for the adults at all, we brought cards, thank god we had those cards as well. O and for the hotel to describe that it has mini golf? The course hasn’t been maintained in years, so good luck getting a ball through a tunnel with huge holes and chunks of plaster missing. In summary, if u are a couple with a child and a budget and don’t mind watery pre mixed cocktails and nothing to do after 8pm then this could be a good pick. Couple of mates going for an all inclusive? I’d give it a miss. Shame really, nice looking hotel, just looks like it’s penny pinching to keep going these days.

Great hotel but..

We visited as a family of four at the beginning of May. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff are all incredibly helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. My children absolutely loved the beach club too and this was great for them! Our only downsides of the hotel itself are that the beds were very uncomfortable and the food wasn’t always the warmest, although neither of these issues affected our enjoyment of the trip. The pools were also absolutely freezing but this didn’t stop it from enjoying them! The main issue we had was the calibre of guests. We felt incredibly sorry for the poor staff who had to pick up the mess of lazy, british families…some of whom were often rude to the staff. We witnessed one family leave half eaten burgers and sandwiches, biscuits and dozens of empty cups all over the beach club when they left, despite the fact that there are bins everywhere, this resulted in a massive amount of seagulls flooding in causing chaos and a member of staff was left to clean up their mess. I’m not sure quite sure how the staff put up with people like this but they did it with much more grace and patience than I personally would have shown. The same type of families let their children run around the hotel at night so if we had an earlier night we were awakened by unsupervised children running up and down corridors into the early hours which was annoying. It is the only thing that may put us off returning to this hotel which is a shame.
