Cook's Club Ialysos Rhodes

New to the Cook’s Club portfolio for 2022, this adult-only hotel is located just outside the village of Kremasti on the Greek island of Rhodes, with the lively Ialyssos Beach resort just 2.5km away. Here, in addition to the pebble beach, adjacent to the sapphire blue sea, there is a wide range of bars, bakeries, tavernas, cafes and restaurants. So whether you’re after a shot of ouzo, a feta & spinach pie, moussaka, salad, baklava or a frappe coffee, you’ll find it here. Meanwhile the quieter Kremasti beach is just 800m away.

Captain Cook’s Bar, located next to the lively pool area, offers aperitifs, inventive cocktails and classic Cook’s Club signature drinks. It’s open all day but for the most vibrant atmosphere you should visit after sunset, when you can experience DJ sets and themed evenings. If you want to take it easy after the previous night’s partying, the hotel offers a yoga pavilion and a wellbeing courtyard. If you’re more hardcore, you can hit the outdoor gym for a workout.

Start the day with a hearty breakfast in Cantina, the hotel’s restaurant. Later on, experience a range of international street foods whipped up by the chefs, without having to set foot outside the hotel. Comforting Greek dishes are also on the menu, as well as a range of options for both vegans and vegetarians. If you want lunch at 4pm or dinner at 5pm that’s no problem, as the restaurant is open from midday until 10pm.

Classic rooms offer a double or twin bed, with some also including a sofa in the lounge area, that can convert into a bed for a third person. Relax in front of the 42” LED TV with satellite channels or on your furnished veranda/balcony, overlooking the green garden with its olive and palm trees. Bungalows can accommodate up to four people, so you can share one with your friends or with another couple. For a more luxurious stay, book one of the suites boasting a private jacuzzi.

Feeling active? There’s exciting opportunities to go kiteboarding, windsurfing, wing foiling and paddle boarding nearby. If you’re new to these watersports instructors are on hand to teach you the basics. While if you’re a regular, you can skip the boring bits and get straight to the action.

The hotel is just a short walk from the bus stop on the main road, from where there are regular services to the airport in one direction and towards the old town of Rhodes via the Ialyssos Beach area, in the other. As the hotel is just under 5km from the airport, you won’t face a long transfer when you arrive on the island.

The old town of Rhodes is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, so it’s well worth a visit. Here you can see the remains of castles, temples and fortifications. A trip to the Archaeological Museum will explain the bygone times. But if you don’t want a history lesson, there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants too.
