Eftalia Ocean Resort and Spa has lots to offer both families and couples. The hotel runs its own kids' club, which is a great place for younger guests to make new friends and join in with activities. Meanwhile, you can fit in a workout at the adult-only gym, or retreat to the spa for a soothing treatment. The two outdoor pools have sections reserved for the little guests, while if you prefer not to be in the strong sun, there’s also an indoor pool.
You'll also have free access to Eftalia Island, reached across a bridge, which hosts a variety of sports and games for all ages – everything from aqua aerobics to volleyball. Children will love the water park with its pirate boat, boomerang water slide and twister.
There are plenty of dining options at Eftalia Ocean, meaning there's something to suit almost every mood. You’ll have two buffet options, alternatively if grilled or Italian cuisine is your thing, book a table at one of the a la carte restaurants. There are more places to eat over at Eftalia Island, each serving up their own specialities.
All rooms come with Wi-Fi and air conditioning included as standard. Plus, they each have a furnished balcony, ideal for a quiet evening drink. Even better, why not upgrade to a swim-up room?
Eftalia Ocean is in a quiet location on the edge of the resort, making it ideal for a relaxing retreat, away from the busier resort centre. It's also just steps from the beach, so days on the sand and sea are one of the best ways to spend your time here and popular with families. The secluded location is around a 25-minute drive from Alanya; don’t miss out on the chance to visit the 10th century Church of Saint Constantine or Atatürk's House and Museum, where you can see inside an Ottoman villa.

Eftalia Ocean
Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, mini bar filled everyday, many pools, good food and drinks. Shop on site was a little overpriced, many pools and slides to use, Would definitely visit again. Nice 2 weeks here.
Excellent for a solo holiday late in the season
I came here for a 5 night solo holiday in Nov 2022. I was a little concerned by reviews and suggestion that it was very family-oriented, but thoroughly enjoyed it and would certianly be back, though would stick to the beginning or end of season as it was a bit more relaxing and quiet for a solo traveller. *** Room *** The room was massive and spotlessly clean. I had a pool facing balcony, and the room had a double bed, single and pull out bed. The showers were great and water pressure was excellent. I was located next to the maids room which was a little annoying in the morning as they start early and shout to each other etc. but wasn't the end of the world. *** Food *** I had no issue with the food at all. There were lots of Turkish options and obviously no pork products at breakfast. I think a lot of the disappointment is from people expecting British food - this hotel does not cater to the British specifically and has a lot of people from Germany, Russia etc. There were lots of options at each meal, about 6-10 hot main options each mealtime plus loads of salad, fruit, cheeses and mezze bits. The desserts were great too, with fresh gateaux every day, loads of mini cakes, rice pudding, and baklava and other sweets. There is always pizza, chips, chicken nuggets and 2-3 pasta options for fussier eaters. Every day there is a grilled meat and fish so you can make up a kebab if you like - I did this every day but it's better to get a separate plate for this so you can make it up properly on a wrap. Burgerland is a little bit naff - the burgers and buns are sitting out for a while so not the freshest, but there are chips and salad too which are fine. It serves a purpose if you're starving or need a late night snack. There are ice creams at the pool bar from 12-2:30 each day, and hotdogs from 12 until 4pm(ish) which were good. There are also some snacks on the island but I didn't bother with these. Personally, I tended to have a big breakfast, and then the evening meal as there was just so much food. Lunch when I had it was very similar to dinner again with lots of grilled meats etc. and was really filling. If you are a solo traveller, it's nice to sit right at the back of the restaurant next to the bar - most solo travellers seemed to land here. It's much quieter and you can see your belongings if you get up for a drink. I was happy with the drink selection, and didn't feel the need to buy any extras. Nothing tasted watered down and there were no queues for drinks. You can bring your own bigger cup but beware that the drinks are very very strong so approach with caution. *** Location *** The hotel is in an area that is being developed, it does have quite a bit of wasteland around. This isn't a residential area and really is just for tourists, and I didn't feel unsafe at any point. There are 2-3 bazaars within easy walking distance with plenty of options for clothes. I would avoid the Nova Centre in the opposite direction - I was quoted 85 euros for three t-shirts... If you like shopping it's easy to spend half a day going round. Be firm about what you need and walk away if unsure - some sellers are very pushy. I would recommend the Charlie Chaplin shop for a bargain - they have a rail with 5E slightly imperfect clothes inc. lots of Ralph Lauren, Moncler etc. *** Hotel Facilities *** Pools are not heated so are chilly, the sea is warmer. Inflatables were allowed but expenisve in the hotel shop so better to bring them, though people do leave them at the lifts. Hotel has a couple of clothes shops and a shop with souvenirs and toiletries. The toiletries and snacks are quite expensive so better to bring from home if you want British snacks, but souvenirs are sensibly priced. There is a photo service onsite, they do give a hard sell on this and come round the pool trying to push it. The photos are lovely in fairness. There is also the turkish bath, which was £25 while I was there. You can get this for 15E via an excursion. *** Excursions *** There are tons of excursions you can go on, but book with a local operator for a far better price. I went on the Jeep Safari which was excellent, and included Turkish coffee by the river, dim caves, sapoyara canyon and lunch with a few other short stops. For me, this was only sullied by the driver, who seemed to take a shine to me and was too touchy-feely and made me feel very uncomfortable by the end of the day. If you are a solo female be very careful and set clear boundaries. I actually cancellend my other excursions after this experience and didn't feel I missed out as I was enjoying the hotel more than expected. Overall, I really struggled to understand the negative reviews of this hotel. As long as you are not expecting the sort of experience you get in places like Benidorm which are a home from home, you can certainly have a great time. Staff seem to pay special attention to solo travellers, are happy to chat and want to make sure you feel welcome and have a good time. End of season is quieter but this means you have no issue getting a table at mealtimes, or a sun lounger which is right up my street. The island was closed while I was there except for the bar, which was a lovely place to watch the sunset. I would certainly be back to this area of Turkey and would have no issue coming back to Eftalia Ocean.
