    Kos weather December

What’s the weather like in Kos in December?

December marks the beginning of the cold season, which means temperatures are significantly cooler than the summer months and there’s an increased chance of rain.

    Geographical influences

Kos is a Dodecanese island in Greece that experiences great weather for most of the year. However, by the time winter rolls around, temperatures drop quite a bit and you’ll need to pack a few extra layers of clothing in your suitcase. Cloudy days are also on the increase, with more frequent rain showers occurring throughout the wet season, which lasts from December to March.

    Averages

Kos is a lot colder in December than the summer months. Its average temperature is around 16°C, which can drop down to a chilly 10°C towards the end of the month and in the evenings. Despite the cold weather, you’ll still get to enjoy at least nine hours of daylight per day with an average humidity of 64%. There’s 147mm of rainfall in December, which tends to spread across 12 days of the month. This means that it’s very likely you’ll see a few rain showers during your stay, but this shouldn’t get in the way of your holiday.
