What's the weather like in Kos in October?
Sitting in the Aegean close to the south coast of Turkey, Kos is one of Greece’s Dodecanese islands. It has quite typical Mediterranean weather with long, hot summers and mild winters. You'll get more rain as October goes on, although there’s still plenty of high temperatures and sun at this time.
Climate
Kos has two seasons; a hot, dry summer from May to October and a mild, wet winter from November to April. Rain does start to set in as you go through October, although the island’s tourist season runs until November. Kos is quite flat so there’s not much difference in weather around the island. The island’s mountains do protect the south a bit though, and the sea will keep you nice and cool on the coast.

The average high’s 22ºC in October, which cools to 15ºC at night. It’s hardly cold but you should bring a warmer jumper for the evenings. The sea temperature’s 23ºC, while humidity’s low. There’s 59mm of rain over five days. You can expect 11 hours of daylight each day with eight hours of sunshine at a moderate UV level. Sunset’s just before 7pm at the beginning of October, and at 5.15pm by the end of the month due to daylight saving.
