Sardinia sits off the coast of Italy in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Sardinia weather is lovely and warm all year round with long, hot summers and short, mild winters. If you love the heat but don’t want to feel overwhelmed by it, visit in spring. The weather in Sardinia between March and May is warm with a daily average of 12°C to 17°C. Highs are often at 22°C in May, which is a fantastic time to visit for warmth, sunshine, and quiet beaches. You’ll have around nine hours of sunshine per day with an average sea temperature of 17°C.
For a warmer and sunnier climate, summer is perfect. Temperatures in Sardinia rise in June, reaching the mid-20s at midday with highs of 30°C. The sun shines for 12 hours per day with just 2mm of rain per month. This increases in autumn, which has a monthly rainfall between 39mm and 41mm in October and November.
Winter weather is mild during the day with highs reaching 15°C in December. The coldest temperatures arrive in January, which experiences lows of 10°C when the sun goes down.
