Sorrento Best Water Parks
Escaping the summer heat in Sorrento doesn't have to be a challenge. There are plenty of Sorrento water parks around where you can dive in, splash about and cool off. Most are within a short drive of Sorrento and offer attractions for all ages.
Valle Dell'Orso Water Park, Torre del Greco
About an hour's drive north of Sorrento, this is one of the most popular water parks in Sorrento and it's great for kids. With 500m of waterslides, the park lies at the heart of the Vesuvio National Park. There's a large wave pool, Vesuvius pool, lagoon and relaxation pool, as well as plenty of slides for younger children. Older kids can enjoy slides like the Multipiste, Kamikaze and Anaconda. With a picnic area, restaurant and bar surrounded by lush green pine woods, paid parking and a free shuttle bus to the Circumvesuviana Station, this is the perfect family day out.
Aquafarm, Spineta
A one hour 30-minute drive from Sorrento, this water park is open daily from 9am-6.30pm in the summer months, but check opening times before setting off. For adults, there's a whirlpool, solarium and relaxation area as well as a hydro-massage pool. Kids can get stuck into the Big River slide or try the Kamikaze, Toboga, Twice Twist or Foam Slides.
There's a children's pool and playground for younger children, too. Entry is free for kids up to 105cm tall and for anyone aged 70 plus. Children up to the age of 12 get free entry on their birthday. Head for Aquafarm Café for refreshments, or grab lunch or a snack at the Risto Park. The Macao Bar is sure to be a popular spot for kids to snack on an ice cream or hot dog when the sun is shining.
Green Island Water Park, Pontecagnano Faiano SA
This popular Sorrento waterpark opens 9am-6pm Monday to Sunday, with the slides open from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. With thrilling slides for adults and older children like the Turbo Light, Kamikaze and Black Cannon as well as gentler options like the Pirate Ship, Mushroom and Volcano slides for younger kids, everyone is sure to have a great time.
If you're looking to relax, head for the whirlpools, lounge by the Acquagym pool, or work on your tan in the solarium. The Slow River is a popular choice on sunny days. There are plenty of activities on dry land too, with an animation programme for all ages, playground and games.
The park's photo service helps you capture great memories of your family day out, while the self-service restaurant, picnic area, bar and gelateria ensure nobody goes hungry. There's even a shop where you can stock up on sun cream or hats for the kids, and secure car parking if you're driving your rental car here from Sorrento. With so many Sorrento waterparks to choose from all within easy driving distance, it's easy to plan a fun-filled family day out for a splash about in the sunshine.
