Visit the iconic 14th century Church of St. Francis next to the Villa Comunale Park, which provides stunning views of Mt Vesuvius. The church is one of the most beautiful churches in Sorrento with its baroque style, octagonal pillars and carved ceiling décor. The complex is made up of a church, an arched courtyard draped in green vines and a monastery, which once homed to Franciscan monks.

During the summer months the picturesque enclosure is transformed into an art gallery, displaying local and iconic artwork and sculptures. It's also used for a series of open aired concerts where classical artists from all over the world come to perform.
