Hilton Sorrento Palace

Hilton Sorrento Palace Hotel is in Sorrento, a coastal town on the Amalfi Coast in south western Italy. Sorrento is one of Italy's most popular holiday resorts and attracts couples and families with its dramatic views and world-famous Italian cuisine. The hotel is within walking distance of Piazza Tasso, a bustling square home to Renaissance architecture and restaurants serving Italian specialities. It's also close to the shingle beach at Marina Grande. Although a family-friendly hotel, at least one guest per room must be a minimum of 18 years of age. The hotel's main outdoor swimming pool is split level and provides views of the surrounding area. There's a heated indoor pool and a separate pool for children. There's also a pool waiter service, which allows you to enjoy drinks and snacks without leaving your lounger. You can stay active with a few games on the tennis court. There's also a gym where you can work out. For children, there's a daily kids' club, with activities including painting, treasure hunts and games. Hilton Sorrento Palace Hotel has two bars, a lounge bar and a pool bar, which offer soft and alcoholic drinks from morning until evening. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, so you can keep in touch during your stay.

Hilton Sorrento Palace is 1km from Piazza Tasso and 1,6km from the beach at Marina Grande. You can wander through the cobbled streets of Sorrento's Old Town, stopping to enjoy an Italian coffee, or shop for artisan souvenirs at one of the local markets. If you want to explore further afield, you can visit Positano, a 17km drive away, and admire the designer boutiques and glamorous resorts. The historic city of Pompeii, which was immortalised during a volcanic eruption hundreds of years ago, is a 26km drive from the hotel.

Hilton Sorrento Palace has two restaurants, one offering a buffet-style breakfast and a la carte dinner with dishes from around the world and kids' options. The other is a Japanese themed a la carte restaurant with an outdoor seating area.

You can explore the town of Sorrento to soak up its authentic Italian atmosphere, or go visit the nearby islands of Ishcia and Capri.

Rooms at the hotel are fresh and airy, with a neutral colour scheme and modern furnishings. All come with air conditioning and satellite TV.

The best

This was the best of stays. Everything was super clean everyone wore masks. The Christmas decorations were marvelous. As always the staff was amazing. We will return next summer and hopefully COVID will be gone.

Wonderful and friendly service

Dec 2021 | Stephan1954
We stayed eight nights at the Hilton Sorrento and were upgraded to an Executive room with seaview as we are diamond members. The staff is wonderful as they are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. All of them speak English well. I find that it is the staff that makes a hotel memorable. Our room was bright, clean and newly renovated with a large bathroom, storage space and balcony. The bed was large and comfortable. Internet was fast enough for uploading photos. Television had ample foreign channels. Housekeeping did a fine job and our room was always cleaned when we came back from a daytrip. Just a neutral remark: Although the room is very spacious I found the cupboard space somewhat limited. The space near the entrance where the safe is located offers room for a larger cupboard with drawers. No external noise what so ever which is a major plus. Despite Covid the breakfast was varried with hot options and a kind of buffet. No selfservice. Fresh fruit is always a plus. The executive lounge was located on the ground floor. Wine, hard and soft drinks and some snacks and pastry were offered. The lounge closes at 20.00 which is relatively early. The highlight of the lounge was Guiseppe who offered a very warm and personalized service. He added very positively to an already excellent stay. We did not have dinner at the hotel as we enjoy trying out local restaurants . We are small eaters and not the kind that like to sit in a restaurant for hours Parking is 17 euro a day on a private parking lot and there is some free street parking. We chose the paid parking as that is more convenient. Location is fine and preferreable to a hotel on a busy street. It is a 10 minute downhill walk to Corso Italia and then you are in the middle of the Sorrento action. The train and bus station is also within walking distance, but do not buy a ticket for the express train as it is four times the fare and only skips one station. When is Sorrento we will certainly stay at the Hilton again.

5* Quality with exceptional service & incredible views

Dec 2021 | ayazm12323
This hotel is fantastic and easily a 5* hotel, in fact, it is one of the nicest hotels I have visited with its large complex, incredible indoor, outdoor and infinity rooftop pool area, picturesque gardens and of course the unbeatable sea & Mt Vesuvius view. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Sorrento. It is a short walk from the main square so you are slightly out the way but I think this is a positive as it is very peaceful. The views from the executive lounge are also fantastic. Marino and his team offered the highest quality customer service, they went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and I will most definitely return to his hotel in the near future. Travelling to the hotel: We took a Ferry from Naples Ferry Port (Which is a short distance away from the airport). You reach the Sorrento ferry terminal, from here it is around 20 euro taxi or 20 minute walk to the hotel. Be warned the Ferry does not operate on some Sundays so call them to confirm it is running. The taxi from hotel to Naples Airport is 90 euros Food & Drink: The reception staff have excellent recommendations and will even book restaurants for you and arrange transport making it all feel seamless. O'Parrucchiano La Favorita and L'Antica Trattoria were our favourites. Spa: The hotel has an incredible indoor pool but no actual spa, ULYSSE is the best spa around but you need to book well in advance as it gets booked up quickly. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Sorrento - you won't regret it.
