Hilton Sorrento Palace Hotel is in Sorrento, a coastal town on the Amalfi Coast in south western Italy. Sorrento is one of Italy's most popular holiday resorts and attracts couples and families with its dramatic views and world-famous Italian cuisine. The hotel is within walking distance of Piazza Tasso, a bustling square home to Renaissance architecture and restaurants serving Italian specialities. It's also close to the shingle beach at Marina Grande. Although a family-friendly hotel, at least one guest per room must be a minimum of 18 years of age. The hotel's main outdoor swimming pool is split level and provides views of the surrounding area. There's a heated indoor pool and a separate pool for children. There's also a pool waiter service, which allows you to enjoy drinks and snacks without leaving your lounger. You can stay active with a few games on the tennis court. There's also a gym where you can work out. For children, there's a daily kids' club, with activities including painting, treasure hunts and games. Hilton Sorrento Palace Hotel has two bars, a lounge bar and a pool bar, which offer soft and alcoholic drinks from morning until evening. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, so you can keep in touch during your stay.
Hilton Sorrento Palace is 1km from Piazza Tasso and 1,6km from the beach at Marina Grande. You can wander through the cobbled streets of Sorrento's Old Town, stopping to enjoy an Italian coffee, or shop for artisan souvenirs at one of the local markets. If you want to explore further afield, you can visit Positano, a 17km drive away, and admire the designer boutiques and glamorous resorts. The historic city of Pompeii, which was immortalised during a volcanic eruption hundreds of years ago, is a 26km drive from the hotel.
Hilton Sorrento Palace has two restaurants, one offering a buffet-style breakfast and a la carte dinner with dishes from around the world and kids' options. The other is a Japanese themed a la carte restaurant with an outdoor seating area.
You can explore the town of Sorrento to soak up its authentic Italian atmosphere, or go visit the nearby islands of Ishcia and Capri.
Rooms at the hotel are fresh and airy, with a neutral colour scheme and modern furnishings. All come with air conditioning and satellite TV.

Excellent Hotel I would stay at again
Stayed here for a conference, and was very pleased with the room (junior suite) and the facilities provided. However, customer service was lacking in some areas. Our friends were told on complaining that their allocated ground floor room was overlooking the air-conditioning units, that 'They were lucky to have a room!' Not a good answer from the receptionist bearing in mind they had booked and paid for an executive sea view! Generally the bar service was extremely slow. From a management point of view this means the bar could increase its sales if they were much quicker. Probably by a factor of 3! Breakfast was exactly the same everyday. Overall I would stay here again, but would eat and drink elsewhere.
Lovely hotel, customer service let down
Just returned from a week stay here, partly to attend a conference. The hotel itself is as you would expect clean and well looked after, swimming pools / lounging areas large enough to cope with big numbers. Our room (bay facing) was large, clean with a nice balcony and great views, a must as the so called mountain view rooms look out onto a hill a few meters behind the hotel, they should have USB charging points by now. What let it down was speed of service at the bars and poolside restaurant everyone complained it was dreadfully slow, it improved a little after the conference ended but they should have enough staff to cope. Service around the pool was poor all through the stay it was hard to attract the attention of the drinks staff, always felt it was a chore for them, I guess they must loose a fortune in missed sales (nip out to Dubai to see what pool service is all about). There is a nice garden (used once on evening for a dinner) some nice seating here would be a great place to go for some shade away from the pool, looks like a waste at the moment. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the old town but a hefty 15 min walk back in the heat of the day and with taxis around 20EUR for a 2 min journey a shuttle bus should run like many other hotels seemed to do. Going to Sorrento for a break, great place to stay. Hilton - I paid through our conference people for a weeks stay and room upgrade you will not allow me to have my honour points I think is disgraceful, I guess the organisers reap that reward.
FANTASTIC STAY IN SORRENTO!
Our family of four LOVED this Hilton property! The Hilton Sorrento Palace does it right! Our room WAS HUGE! It had a king size bed, a double bed and a large twin bed in it. So nice for a family traveling together and being able to stay all in one room with plenty of space for each other and our luggage! Our bathroom was ENORMOUS too, so nice, modern and clean! The large picture window with the view of the ocean and Mt. Vesuvius was INCREDIBLE! We had a private little area off of our room, that was connected to an enormous and beautiful deck/porch overlooking the ocean and the volcano. The pool, both the general one and the executive suite one was really nice with again, GREAT VIEWS! The grounds were very pretty, with tons of lemon and orange trees and the most beautiful hydrangeas! We did play tennis there and I think that if there was one criticism, it would be that the tennis courts do need to be resurfaced. They were really showing their age, but we still had a blast playing on them! There are some great restaurants within walking distance and/or you can take a cab. Cabs are pricey in Sorrento, as are meals, but we had some of the best meals of our life in Sorrento! The breakfast at the Hilton which we paid for in our room rate was FANTASTIC too! Overall, we highly recommend this property!
