Mojacar – Weather
The seaside resort of Mojacar enjoys a warm, Mediterranean climate influenced by its location along the coast of Almeria in southern Spain. Mojacar has an impressive 3000 hours of sunshine a year, which means you’re almost guaranteed great weather no matter when you visit. Annual temperatures range from 8°C to 28°C, with warm summers and mild winters.
Spring begins in March, with temperatures in Mojacar rising to 14°C. It continues to warm up throughout spring with highs of 19°C in April and 22°C in May. Rainfall is low to moderate with around 20mm in March, 26mm in April and 12mm spread over May.
If you love the heat and sunshine, you should travel in summer for temperature highs of 22°C in June that rises to 25°C in July and August. You can expect up to 13 hours of warm sunshine each day that gradually lowers to ten hours in September.
Mojacar weather remains very pleasant throughout autumn with a daily average of 19°C in October that dips to 15°C in November. The average sea temperature is 21°C that drops to a cool 19°C in November, which is far too cold for swimming.
Winter weather in Mojacar is cold during the day with an average temperature of 13°C in December and 11°C in January. Sunshine hours decrease to just seven per day in winter, which means it gets dark earlier and there’s also an increased chance of cloud coverage.
