A good time to travel to Roquetas de Mar is in July when the weather is not only beautifully hot, but the town is flourishing with celebration. Every year the town takes part in the festival of Santa Ana, who is an important religious icon. Roquetas de Mar joins the other fishing villages along the coast to honour the patron saint of fishermen, Virgen del Carmen.

Watch the colourful parade as it makes its way through the streets and down to the beach. Enjoy the floral decorations and spectacular fireworks shows, before the fiesta continues way into the night with traditional food, music and dancing. Throughout the summer, the resort also hosts a variety of open-air concerts, where different types of music from flamenco and jazz to rock and pop are played.
