First off, the hotel is amazing, from the initial wow of the reception area, with single story waterfall to the view of the amazing sea, everything about it says WOW. Lets start with the negatives first, we stayed for a week on an all inclusive basis and ended up eating out 3 of those nights (one of those was not the hotels fault as my daughter wanted to go to a restaurant for dinner on her birthday). Breakfast is fine, although no real variation, full english, pancakes, pastries etc. Lunch, was always burgers, pizza, hot dogs, fries and some smaller lunch items, it was the same every day, it was fine the first couple of days but by the end I couldn't look at another burger or hot dog! Dinner, we had two nights where we all ate well, one was international buffet night where it was all roast meats and veg, the second was Halloween where the hotel went all out and everything looked amazing and themed for Halloween. Most nights, however, the kids options were either pizza, fries or plain pasta, there just wasn't enough there for them. There wasn't really a lot of variation on the menu and we saw the same main course items a couple of times in the 7 days. The theme days didn't seem to make much sense either, the Asian night was OK although, again, the options were sushi, stir fry or overcooked crispy chicken. The Mexican night was awful, there were literally no Mexican items on the menu but a whole table of seafood, the kids took a couple of whole crabs, not to eat but to give a name and have fun with there was octopus tentacles and loads of other fresh seafood! The food was also always tepid in temperature, my partner and I craved hot food but this is the equipment used in a buffet style restaurant not the restaurant itself. We didn't make any use of the onsite Italian unfortunately, you are assigned a night to visit before arrival and ours was on our daughters birthday and she didn't want to eat any more pasta so we didn't use it. The lunchtime food in the outside bar is basically burgers, hot dogs and a couple of other salad items but they were always stone cold and not very appealing. The drinks options outside are good though, I especially liked the self service slush machine and beer pump, great to not have to queue at a bar for something quck like that. Now onto the plus points: Room Our room was on the 2nd floor (reception level) and the room itself was very comfortable, we are a family of 4 and staying in one of the standard rooms, i.e. 4 single beds pushed together to make 2 large doubles. This wasn't an issue and the room, at no point, felt cramped. I believe we were in one of the 'accessible' rooms which meant we had a huge bathroom, a real surprise in a hotel as the bathroom wasn't much smaller than the bedroom! Our room was over the restaurant but we didn't ever hear any noise from downstairs (apart from the night before Halloween when they put on a horror house) but this also meant our balcony was huge, again, probably about the same size as the room, if had a table and chairs and 2 sun loungers but all that furniture took up less than 1/5 of the space it was amazing. The view was also superb, we could see the large pool and the sea, amazing. The Hotel The hotel really is amazing, the two bars are great, so the upstairs bar has more relaxed entertainment in the evening (think singers, musicians etc.) and the downstairs has the more entertaining side of entertainment (mini disco, comedy shows etc.) You will easily find something to float your boat. The bars serve anything that you could ever need and the cocktails are also great. The entertainment team are first class, all the team get fully involved in all activities and their enthusiasm is infectious. There were a couple of times that the team really proved how special they are, a couple of days into the holiday my son had a minor melt down by the pool (over nothing more than our refusal to let him bottle flip) and he threw himself onto a sun lounger in a strop. After 10 minutes Danni, one of the entertainment team, cam over and tried to engage my son. He spent a long time with him, making him laugh and pulling him back out of his almighty strop. Danni really is a credit to the team. The next time they really surprised me was actually more of a full hotel team effort, if was my daughters 7th birthday while we were out there, the hotel organised a cake to be made for her with icing that was personalised for her. When we went to lunch the restaurant staff brought the cake to me so I could surprise my daughter. We sat at a normal table and after a few minutes the lady who gave me the cake ushered me to a separate table where they had laid fresh flower petals all over the table, lit a candle and had a bottle of cava waiting for my partner and I too. It really was a lovely touch. To top it off the entertainment then gathered round and let the entire restaurant in a happy birthday sing a long for my little girl. Her face was a picture. Following lunch we returned to our room to find a card for her from the hotel, a large plate full of sweets and a second bottle of cava for Mum and Dad. AMAZING! The pools were also great, we only used the two main pools, when we first arrived, both felt freezing but after getting used to the outside temperature they were both great for cooling off. The main pool is not heated so can feel initially nippy and the kids pool, which is slightly salted I think, is heated but only enough to take the edge off. My only gripe about the kids pool is the pool lining, it hasn't been stretched properly so there are folds all the way through the bottom of the pool making if a bit painful if you step on one or kick it. Every day there were activities, our favourite was definitely the foam party (or the weekly football pitch clean as we called it) the kids really loved it and was a great way to end our stay. Location - The hotel location, for us, was perfect, it's at the end of the beachfront so the only thing close is a small shopping centre. Town is a good 30 mins walk away, with kids, we wanted a holiday of nothing but pool and beach and that's what we got. The beach is about 350 meters away from the back gate of the hotel and is great, my son and I spent a long time snorkelling around the rocks and there is so much life to see out there we loved it. In all honesty, this would easily be a 10/10 hotel if the food was better, I would definitely return but only on a self catering / ha;f board basis as I feel we have wasted money on the all inclusive due to the menu being unsuitable for kids (pizza, fries and plain pasta is not a kids menu)

Just back from 2 weeks ai Honest opinion this hotel and staff are amazing it is a long walk into town but the taxi rank and little train are just round the corner The food is ok but what can you expect from a large hotel trying to feed everyone.there was always something to eat even pizza. The restaurant staff are really friendly and cleared the tables strsiht away. The animation team were great especially Dashka Danny and Will and not to forget Arry the lifeguard.they all made our holiday great and thanks to Jesus the outside barman for never forgetting what we were drinking. Thanks to everyone for a great holiday

This has got to be one of the best hotels Ive stayed in ever. For the staff being so polite, helpful, and champagne on arrival! Plus a bottle on my birthday in my room with a card! And they did so much with my two kids, one of which has autism, and they totally understood his needs and I Evan got a break from them to catch some sun as they took them to play. In will be back for my kids birthday this year in November hopefully! As my boys haven't stopped asking for the staff here! :). Really nice food, good variety, never short of anything. And very clean, can't wait to get back here! ;)

I was so disappointed with the quality of the rooms at this hotel. The furnishing are old, the bathrooms need replacing, the beds are pillows are rock hard. The management moved us, but the second room was equally as poor. If room quality is important to you, stay at the Sheraton which is absolutely beautiful. On reflection we should have complained to the Thomas Cook rep and insisted we were moved to another hotel.
