Eurostars Las Salinas

Just 10 minutes by road from Fuerteventura airport lies the 4-star Eurostars Las Salinas. It is just a few steps from the sandy beach of Caleta de Fuste and offers a great combination of well-being and comfort. Active guests might fancy a game of tennis on the courts, while energetic children will enjoy the playground. Those on holiday to relax will want to visit the spa and wellness centre that includes a sauna and whirlpool bath. Here you can also book a massage or treatment (for an additional charge.)

There's no basic rooms at Eurostars Las Salinas, the choice is whether you want to stay in a suite or villa. Whichever you choose, you’ll benefit from a TV with satellite channels, WiFi, air conditioning, a sofa, microwave, safe and hairdryer. Book a villa and you’ll be able to relax in your own private pool, as well as having a separate lounge and a second bedroom, an ideal choice for families.

Breakfast is served in the hotel's buffet restaurant, if you book all-inclusive your lunch and dinner will also be served here. The onsite gym is open on request, so just let the friendly receptionist know when you wish to do your workout.

For an alternative swimming experience visit the nearby Piscina Natural. This natural pool is separated from the ocean so provides a safer experience. Even if you don't want to swim, the scenery is magnificent here. Golf fans won't have to travel far for a round as the nearest course is under 10 minutes drive away. A stroll of just over 1km around the bay will take you to the Castle of San Buenaventura. Continue a little further and you'll be at the marina, where numerous boat trips depart. Maybe the children will like the idea of going out in a glass-bottom boat?

We are here at the moment pools are freezing so no one can get in . The food is absolutely dreadful do not eat here . Luckily we only bed and breakfast but decided on our night we arrived to try the evening buffet. No vegetarian. All vile cold soggy chips rice etc . Hotel room is lovely but air con in hotel not working . Location is fantastic and beach is stunning .

Big mistake.

Thought we'd try this hotel. Stayed for Christmas and into new year, also special occasion 45th wedding anniversary, 14 nights stay. Hotel not worth 1 point, but can't go lower. Good points; Hotel next to beach. Good sized room, number 396, which overlooked beach. Room cleaning excellent every day, and towels changed every day. Bad points; On arrival heart sunk as hotel looked gloomy and in need of extensive maintenance. Broken and missing tiles leading to and in foyer. Foyer and reception area dark and no atmosphere. Not informed at reception they were testing electrics, found out hard way when we finally got to room and electrics kept going on and off. Pool area; Holes in concrete showing mesh through, If you go with young children, make sure they wear footwear all the time. Never saw pools being checked or cleaned. Noticed black fungus on side of one pool. Food; Very disappointing. Breakfast ok, but wouldn't recommend all inclusive. Booking for Christmas evening meal and New Year was a pain as restaurant manager was never there when he should have been. Very unorganised. Reception staff not very helpful with this either. Lifts were not reliable. Water went off in the middle of a shower. Entertainment virtually non existent. Most of the staff were friendly, but not enough of them. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, in fact hotel and food not worth 2 stars. Having visited this island for numerous Christmas and New Year stays, this is the worst by far. Could have gone to another for less money and had a better experience, fact. Eurostars chain not doing themselves any favours, and maybe Jet2 should send someone in under cover to see for themselves. Everyone's experience is different, but health and safety would have a field day! We won't make this mistake again.

Much better than expected!

I was quite worried before our trip based on some of the reviews however I needn’t have worried as our stay was great. We stayed from 27 Dec to 4 Jan as a family of 4 all inclusive. Food and drink 4/5 - generally it was really good. Nothing was cold and it wasn’t repetitive either so I don’t know what people are moaning about. We did eat out a few times but only because we fancied trying the Smoke House, Fado Rock and one of the Indian restaurants. You can help yourself to wine, beer and soft drinks on tap in the restaurant which was new to me and was great! Try one of Greta’s piña coladas at the pool bar - so good Entertainment 3/5 - New Year’s Eve was great. The staff did a brilliant job and we really enjoyed it. Barbara did a great job with the daytime entertainment / games. It was just the evenings other than NYE which were lacking. Rooms 4/5 - no issues. We were on the first floor. Our balcony was massive and we were close to the pool and bar. We didn’t have any problems with the room but a kettle or coffee maker would have been appreciated. Pools - really big kids’ pool. Main pool is quite deep. The pools are freezing so be warned! Location 5/5 - The hotel is right on the beachfront and the location is hard to beat. Fantastic location. I went running most mornings and the resort is fabulous! In low tide the ‘natural swimming pool’ Piscina Natural is amazing. Overall we had a great time. The resort is so beautiful and there is lots to do.
