Globales Tamaimo Tropical is a seafront hotel on the west coast of Tenerife, popular with both couples and families. Playa la Arena, known for its volcanic black sand, is just a short walk away. Here the water is safe for both children and first time swimmers.
The resort has an outdoor area that includes five swimming pools (two for children and toddlers.) You can also relax on the adults-only rooftop sun terrace or in the jacuzzi. Active guests can enjoy a game of table tennis, tennis, billiards or pool. In the evenings, have fun watching a variety of entertainment shows, while children can dance the night away at the junior’s disco. Younger guests can also join the kids' club and make new friends in the playroom and the playground.
The hotel has a buffet restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A special buffet is prepared for the kids, with familiar foods such as pasta and chips. Lovers of Italian cuisine may wish to reserve a table at the a la carte Morrocollo. When you’re feeling thirsty you’ll find a selection of four bars serving soft and alcoholic drinks and if you get peckish between meal times Bar-Barbeque serves a range of snacks as well.
All the air conditioned rooms at Globales Tamaimo Tropical are equipped with a microwave, fridge, satellite TV, hairdryer, safe, sofa bed and either a balcony or terrace. Family apartments can sleep up to six guests across two adjoining rooms.
The centre of Puerto Santiago is 150m from Globales Tamaimo Tropical. In this quiet resort town there are a number of British bars, as well as more typical Spanish tavernas. Within a mile of the hotel there are two cliff-top viewpoints offering spectacular views of the ocean, looking out towards La Gomera. Children will relish a day trip to the nearby Thai-themed Siam Park, which includes a range of slides, rides, a water market and a lazy river.
La Teide is impossible to miss, with its 3,750m summit. Here you can see Paisaje Lunar, as the name suggests it looks like a structure that belongs on the moon but volcanic activity is actually responsible for its formation. There are few places in the world which are better for stargazing, so if you want to look for the Great Bear or the Plough star constellations in the night sky, this is the best place to do it.

Had a lovely holiday at this hotel . Room was great , choice of food was amazing ,drinks not so great but would return
Hotel was great and the entertainment around the pool excellent, choice of food amazing however drinks not so good as cheap local brands, all inclusive should include top brands, most staff very friendly and efficient, room very clean and spacious, lovely set up with two pools one quiet and the other with good summery vibes . I would definitely stay here again but believe a few small tweaks could make this a top quality hotel , nice area but sadly no beach nearby and a steep climb to shops so not the best for elderly but for a nice fun in the sun by the pool holiday this hotel is perfect
DO NOT GO ALL INCLUSIVE AT THIS HOTEL
This has a 3 star rating , there are lots of good points, so first the positives.. the rooms are cleaned every day , we found the hotel very clean at all times , the tui suneo staff where brilliant, with limited resources they kept nearly everyone entertained even us adults. Now the negatives .. we asked to use an iron at reception, we where informed that we must ask our tui rep , we did this and where told it is £20 euros to hire ( not deposit) we told them not to bother it's cheaper to buy one for £10 euros and then through it away !!! The most negative thing about this hotel is the food , it was nothing short of disgusting, cheap nasty food , under cooked pork , no variety at all , you can book the Italian restaurant in the hotel, but that is no different to the main buffet , we ended up eating out or just eating bread and butter !!!! Out advice is do not go all inclusive at this hotel
Lovely hotel nice quiet relaxing short break
Really nice hotel for its three star rating … we stayed end of February 4 nights.. all inclusive rooms clean and spacious with balcony overlooking the pool .. restaurant good Buffett style meals , drinks on tap wine/ beer / sangria. Restaurant very busy and every morning there was never enough tea and coffee cups but otherwise very good service.. wine wasn’t great quality tbh neither was the beer heard a few people saying they couldn’t drink it! Sangria was good! Spirits and martinis seemed to be ok Hotel staff friendly and helpful and lots of good entertainment during the day by the large pool… if u wanted peace and quiet there was another pool and drinks bar on the other side of the hotel thru a walk way smaller pool but lovely and relaxing Weather was great a balmy 22-23 deg each day just perfect Entertainment at night was pretty good not bad as we didn’t expect much out of busy season All in all very good.. lovely hotel I’ve stayed in worse 4 star hotels tbh only criticism is the drinks really just couldn’t drink the wine. Would definitely recommend this hotel and in a nice quiet are on west coast next to Los Gigantes.
