The hotel is a short walk to the centre of Costa Caleta and steps from the beach. The hotel has a 24-hour reception and there's Wi-Fi throughout. You can work out in the hotel's gym if you like to stay active on holiday, and afterwards you can relax in the spa in the neighbouring Sheraton Hotel. After dinner you can watch the daily live shows as part of the hotel's entertainment programme. Outside, there's a pool area with two outdoor swimming pools for adults, one of which is heated. Costa Caleta is a favourite destination for holidaymakers of all kinds because it has family-friendly attractions including water parks and a horseshoe beach with shallow water for children to go paddling in. Arrived back yesterday from this fantastic hotel. I spent new year there with my husband and another couple. The rooms are very nice. Small kettle and tea and coffee supplied. Cleaned every day inc fresh towels. The pool area is fabulous. Lots of sun beds for this time of year. Not so sure in the summer. You can hire towels for the pool from reception for €10. Great kids pool too. The beach is just out of the gate in the pool area. Lovely and peaceful. The restaurant has ample food and I’m sure everyone would find something they’d like. The bars serve cocktails on AI, plus lots of varieties of other drinks. The gin is Gordon’s or Larios not cheap local stuff. The staff are amazing!!! I didn’t meet one that wasn’t friendly or willing to chat even in the evening after being on duty since breakfast. A big shout out to Pena he has the biggest personality, always singing making jokes and going above and beyond to make your Elba experience a good one. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only downside for me was that you’re slightly out of town. There’s Not really a bar you can pop to for a quick drink for a change of scenery. Only a 20 min fast stroll into town but my husband is on a stick so we had to get a taxi. Only €4 or so though

Very disappointed - Food & Drink not 4 Star Quality

Jan 2022 | Poot_80
We have just returned from 2 weeks at Elba Carlota which we chose for our Christmas & New Year break on an All Inclusive basis via TUI. Having read previous reviews of this 4 star hotel with an A la Carte Restaurant I was thoroughly looking forward to our well needed break. I appreciated the hotel was out of town but with Covid I wanted to pay extra to be somewhere where the food quality was high and we had choice with the ala carte so that we didn't need to go out into the town. However, unfortunately the alacarte restaurant wasn't open and the food quality in the hotel was very poor, 2 star at best. We complained to TUI and the Hotel but nothing was done. We ended up eating out in the evenings so that we could enjoy one meal a day. The food was of very poor quality, salty, cold, lots of fish! It was difficult to make a meal as nothing went together. On Christmas Day there was Turkey which was quite nice but there was no vegetables or Gravy, just loads of other meat and fish and seafood. New Year Gala dinner was the same. The only time they had nice vegetables was at lunch times when all you really wanted was Salad. Thankfully the weather was lovely and we made sure we enjoyed our holiday as best we could as we feel very lucky to have been away at these difficult times. I just wont be recommending or returning to this hotel again. It's a real shame as loads of people who were there said how lovely the food used to be even back in October and how the quality had dropped considerably since. The pool area and main parts of the hotel are lovely. The bed in the room is very comfy, although I am not convinced they can state they have air conditioning as we were hot every night and had to leave our patio door open every night. Special mention to Paula in Bar Sinatra during the day and Pena in the Lobby Bar in the evenings for their funny amazing service. They made us laugh everyday and are an asset to the group.
