Weather in Jamaica
Jamaica is always drenched in warm sunshine, which makes it a great place to visit at any time of the year. It’s reef-lined beaches, lush rainforests and towering Blue Mountains also makes it one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.
With a warm, tropical climate, it’s no surprise that temperatures rarely drop below the mid-twenties on the island. The best time to visit Jamaica for the warmest climate is in August, which has an average high of 33°C.
The weather doesn’t fluctuate much in winter, with an average temperature of 31°C. The sun shines for 11 hours per day at this time of year, which is plenty of time to sightsee and soak up the warm weather.
One major weather concern is the humidity, which remains very high all year round. This can make you feel a little more tired than usual, so make sure to wear light clothing and stock up on sun cream for your holiday. Humidity levels are up to 84% in November. If you want to enjoy a slightly less humid climate, the summer months are advised but humidity levels are still quite high.
