      Negril

Negril’s location in the most western point of Jamaica in the Caribbean means the town enjoys beautiful, warm weather throughout the year. Known for its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, Negril is the perfect holiday destination at any time of the year. If you prefer a drier climate though, the best time to go to Negril is during dry season which runs from December to April. Temperatures are at their highest in the summer, with an average temperature of 27°C that often rises to the low-thirties at peak times. Humidity levels are lower and usually remain steady at 70%. Winter is the best time to visit Negril for slightly milder weather. The seasonal average is a pleasant 25°C, which is warm enough for enjoying a lazy day on the beach or hiking through the lush countryside. The warm climate gives the town very balmy nights, so you can probably get away with your usual summer clothes in the evenings. There’s occasional showers spread throughout the year, but most tend to fall in the summer. Water sports are very popular along the coastline. The clear waters and a mild sea temperature of 27°C make Negril the ideal location for swimming with the fish in the coral reefs, snorkelling with friends or simply enjoying a splash in the shallow waters close to the shore.
