Montego Bay

Montego Bay’s location in Jamaica means the town enjoys the same tropical climate as the rest of the island. The best time to visit Montego Bay is when summer has ended, when temperatures have cooled and the climate is much more enjoyable.

The summer is very hot and humid in Montego Bay. You can expect an average temperature of 29°C with highs of 33°C. It’s a great time for a holiday if you don’t mind the heat, just make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and don’t forget your sun protection.

For cooler and more comfortable weather, the best time to go to Montego Bay is in the winter and springtime. Temperatures are still high and rarely drop below 25°C.

There’s plenty of yearly sunshine, with up to 13 hours in the summer. If you love to swim in the sea while abroad, the Caribbean Sea is around 29°C and is mild all year round.

Montego Bay has crystal clear waters and pristine beaches, but it still has some rainfall that tends to fall towards the autumn. October is the dampest month of the year, with an average rainfall of 130mm. Don’t let the rain put you off though because showers are fast and short, which means you won’t have to stay out of the sun for long.
