We found this a great base to enjoy to the island of Lanzarote, close to Playa Blanca and within easy reach of all the major attractions. A big sprawling hotel with a choice of restaurants, bars and pools, the all night snack bar is a great idea as is the adult only pool. The main restaurant could do with a revamp and the all inclusive menu is slightly restricted, with breakfast the best meal of the day. To fully enjoy the area hire a car or bike.

We had a great holiday at the Sandos Papgayo hotel in Playa Blanca. The room was lovely, great food and facilities. It is a 15 minute walk to the marina and about another 20 minute walk to the main resort of Playa Blanca.

we stayed in the sandos papagayo beach hotel in lanzarote, in general the hotel was clean and tidy . It is a big hotel with over 1600 rooms but we were still able to get a table in the restaurant. Also we could get a sunbed by the pools. We found the pools were quite cold, so found tha sea was warmer. however the evening entertianment was repeated on the second week so if your going for two weeks theres not much to do in the evening. We also found that if you were going out on a early trip you could not get a good breakfast, as the only place to get food before 8 o,clock was the snackbar witch did not even have cereals.

This is a nice hotel with great views .Hotel is a bit remote for me as i do like a walk around the shops and it was a taxi journey . No bars / cafes close either . Food in hotel was good but repetative . My real negative was reception staff that some days were nice and others ignorant . I would be queing to see one of them ,i would walk up to be seen and the phone would ring and they would answer the phone ! this was not a 1 off but regular . . Made going to reception to book evening meal in oriental, french or mexican a pressure etc . Rooms are a bit dated but ok . Also stuff went missing out our room (small items(trainers, sun glasses) )Drains stink cause my 11 year old son while brushing his teeth to vomit on several days . The pools were brilliant , snacks and beer/wine/coffee were great .
