The H10 Lanzarote Princess gets major Brownie points for its top-notch location in Playa Blanca. Footsteps from Playa Dorada Beach and only 30 minutes from the airport if you book a private transfer, you can kick start your holiday from the moment you land. Combine that with its stand-out pool scene, three yummy restaurants, plus the fun-filled family activities on offer and you’ve got yourself a first-rate getaway in the heart of Lanzarote.
All 407 rooms are bright and spacious with modern furnishings adding contemporary flare. Twin options are great for couples, but they do sleep a max of three guests should you be travelling with one child. As standard, you can expect facilities such as air conditioning, a minibar, hair dryer, TV and a balcony or terrace. For more space, the one-bedroom family number sleeps up to four with a twin bed, pull-out sofa and camp-style bed. Upgrade to a Privilege suite for extras like a welcome gift, bathrobes, slippers, Nespresso coffee machine, docking station, pillow menu and pool towels.
Opt to go All Inclusive and you can take advantage of its culinary offerings, and trust us they’re scrumptious. You may be in the Canary Islands but with a bite at La Dolce Vita, you’ll be transported to Italy via its heavenly pasta dishes. Or maybe the spices of Asia will tempt your pallet at Sakura Teppanyaki. Here they use authentic Japanese Teppan grills to whip up seafood, pork and steak before drizzling them in a soy sauce. And when you simply can’t decide, Yaiza covers all corners of the globe with its international buffet spreads. When you need a pick-me-up, Mike’s Coffee is just the spot to grab a latte or speciality teas with a slice of homemade cake on the side. But if you prefer your drinks by the name of pina colada and Sex on the Beach, the Vintage bar and Papagayo mix up delicious cocktails paired with excellent evening entertainment.
Over at Coco Loco and Cactus Bar, you can grab fruit juices, fizzy drinks and an ice-cold beer while sunbathing at the duo of supersized pools. Meanwhile, your little ones will have plenty of fun floating in their inflatables around the shallow areas. That’s when they’re not at the Daisy Club (ages 4-12) doing arts and crafts. There’s also a daytime action-packed activity programme. Keep your eyes peeled for the weekly foam party, dance lessons and fitness on the beach. But if you really want to get your blood pumping, the sports courts and gym will see you work up a sweat. Or at the least, the sauna in the Despacio spa will!
Away from the mini discos and swimming, Playa Blanca is itching to be explored. As one of Lanzarote's most beloved and biggest resorts, it’s safe to say there’s plenty to do here. Stroll only 500m and you’re in the centre of all the action. That’s top-drawer seafood venues, cosy cocktail spots and fashion boutiques all at your fingertips. Not to mention the trio of beaches and jaw-dropping volcanic backdrop! And as an added bonus, you’re only a six-minute drive from Dino Waterpark and 25 minutes from the world-renowned Timanfaya National Park.
