Sandos Papagayo Hotel

Surrounded by Playa Blanca’s golden coastline, Sandos Papagayo is ideally located between the Atlantic Ocean and the stunning Los Ajaches mountain range. The resort is just a short walk to some of the finest stretches of sand in the Canary Islands.

In the day you can hop between a choice of pools. Kids will love splashing around in the shallow option, while parents take full advantage of the adult-only whirlpool. If you're in need of some pampering, the hotel has a spa where you can relax in a Turkish bath or sauna.

Children aged 4-12 can get involved in daily activities at the kids’ club, each day is themed - Disney, Eco, Olympic, Animals, Canaries, Water and Sanditos (the mascot.) Teens can try their hand at archery, Jenga, mini golf or water polo. For the grown-ups there’s not just the usual bingo, quizzes and pool. You may want to learn the rules of the Finnish game of Mölkky, the Dutch game of Sjoelen or the Swedish game of Kubb.

In the evening enjoy a family-friendly show in the theatre, some live music or an adult-only option, while the kids are at the mini disco. The range includes themed parties, such as Hawaiian and battle of the sexes.

The buffet restaurant is open for all meals and serves dinner until 22:15 in the summer. The range includes hot and cold appetisers, salads, main courses and desserts, to satisfy everyone’s cravings. Pizza lovers can see their favourite topping prepared right in front of them. Alternatively, reserve a table in the a la carte restaurant and immerse yourself in Asian or Mexican flavours. Head over to the snack spot for mouth-watering crepes and a range of other sweet treats. As for bars, you’ve got plenty of them too - seven in total!

Superior rooms boast a view of Los Ajaches Natural Park and feature satellite TV, a furnished terrace, WiFi, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The sofa can also be used as a double bed, allowing a family of four to share a room. If you prefer the sound of the waves, you may wish to upgrade to a sea view option.
