Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort
2509 reviews
You can live and breathe Lanzarote at Royal Village, as the resort is styled like a typical Canarian town with its shiny white walls, volcanic rock, cobbled streets and traditional benches. You may choose to relax in the stunning oasis of the subtropical garden or take a dip in one of the swimming pools. If you have little ones in tow, they can race each other on the water slides or splash around under a waterfall. When it’s time to go to the beach, you can take it easy thanks to the complimentary shuttle bus to the golden Playa Dorada.
For children, the hotel runs a mini club for 4-7 year-olds, a maxi club for 8-11s and in high season Teenies for those at secondary school, so no one is left out! Facilities for the young guests include play areas, a kids’ pool, performances, films, a ball pit and video games. Too old to join? Then you can benefit from the spa offering a range of therapeutic treatments (surcharge applies). Here, yoga, zumba and pilates classes also take place.
If you book half board an included breakfast and dinner is provided at Yaiza, with themed evening meals four nights a week. Staying for seven nights or more? Choose between the French-themed La Brasserie and Italian La Nonna, for one of your evening meals. Please note drinks with dinner are not included. For the last meal of the day going sleeveless is not permitted but knee-length shorts are fine, so remember to pack something suitable.
Opt for All Inclusive to also benefit from a late breakfast option (10:30 to 12:30), lunch and afternoon cakes. Hot and cold beverages are also included, whether they are served with meals or from the bars (open from late morning until midnight). Premium drinks may incur a surcharge.
Junior suites can accommodate up to three guests, or even four if a mini one fits in a cot. There’s plenty of room for the whole family on the spacious terrace. Upgrade to Prestige for additional luxuries including a courtesy minibar, Nespresso coffee machine, welcome kit, spa discount card and as many dinners in the French and Italian restaurants as you like. If your little ones deserve a treat, book the fairytale-themed Elba Magic Kids room, where everything is colourful and happy.
The neighbouring town of Castillo del Aguila is just 5km from the hotel. Here, you have the option of hiring a boat from the marina to explore the island's coastline. Lanzarote's famous dormant volcanoes can be found at Timanfaya National Park, 20km away. It’s the only Natural Park in Spain which is entirely geological. To see the effects of a volcano, then pay a visit to Los Hervideros (15km away) where the spectacular formation of cliffs and caves are due to lava.

Really good!
What can I say? Upgraded to Premium suites on arrival without even asking. This hotel is ideal for families as well those without children. Always clean wherever you went. Food is good with plenty of variety. Entertainment for adults as well as children. The children will love Pepe lol. Staff are so helpful and friendly and will bend over backwards to help. Bar staff are really friendly. Jet2 reps are really good and knowledgeable also. I would recommend any Elba hotel if they are anything like this one. Lovely relaxing holiday.
Elba Lanzarote -Great Resort
Just finished a week at this resort and can say I had no complaints whatsoever. The staff were great and very friendly. The all-inclusive food was fresh and varied every day. Plenty of choice for all tastes. We used the Nonna restaurant for a meal and it was excellent. Highly recommended for a relaxing meal without the humdrum of the buffet. Again the staff here were fantastic. Entertainment for kids was great for younger boys and girls but not a great deal for teenagers (got a 15 year old) other than the games room. Not an issue though because there is free WiFi across the resort. The queues for drinks during the day and on an evening were manageable and not a problem having to wait a 5 mins. The bar had a good selection of drinks part of the all inclusive package. The bartenders were great, full of energy and always joking. We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was modern and very clean with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and ample storage for clothes. Air con worked a treat, decent shower, huge bed in the master bedroom and my daughter slept on a sofa bed and didn't complain at all. There was a TV in both the main living area and the master bedroom. Note- air con only works with all outside doors and windows closed. The terrace/patio was a treat and great for sun bathing or drying clothes. The pool areas were clean and the salt water pool wasn't cold but nice and fresh and perfect for cooling you down. Note-if you are wanting a sun lounger you have to be quick. I put towels out at 7.30am each morning and used them from 10am. Lots of guests secure the beds from 6am so if you are a bit late you will miss out. We used the free resort courtesy bus to get to Playa Dorado a couple of times and got a taxi back for less than €5 a trip. Note-you must wear a mask in all taxis and buses. The walk to the beach is 15 mins. Staff on reception were very good and had great customer services. There appeared to be a lot of management in the resort during the week. Maybe responding to previous complaints. We didn't have any issues- we checked out at 11am and stayed by the pool until the bus collected us at 5.30pm and had access to all facilities including drinks and food. All in all a great holiday, no complaints, staff were friendly and attentive and would highly recommend the resort.
Awful Service
Nice hotel, OK location but awful service. We chose half board as we don't like all inclusive. We like to leave the hotel and eat and drink elsewhere too. Unfortunately if you are half board you are treated like a second class citizen. A bar tender yelled at my husband last night for needing to pay for our drinks by card. We now don't feel comfortable going to the bar again and still have 5 days of the holiday left. To be honest staff are massively overworked and this needs to be sorted. We paid a lot of money to come here and just wanted to have a nice holiday with our children but it feels ruined. We are off to speak with our holiday rep today because we are furious at how badly we have been treated on more than one occasion now, despite being polite and patient with the clearly exhausted staff.
