Wander along Sidari’s sun-drenched coast and choose from three tempting beaches, each featuring classic Mediterranean good looks with soft, honey-coloured sand and calm shores. The main beach is where the action is, with places to dine by the water and a top selection of water sports. If you love spending time by the sea, visit the unique waters of the Canal d’Amour or plan a boat excursion around Corfu’s gorgeous coast. Sidari has three golden, sandy beaches. The main beach is centrally located right by the town, and holds a Blue Flag award for its cleanliness and quality. Wide and beautifully smooth, the beach has rows of sun loungers and umbrellas for keen sunbathers, with snack bars and beach cafes dotted along the promenade. Perfect for families, the shore is shallow and calm for kids to paddle in, and there is even a bouncy castle nearby. Popular beach activities in Sidari include windsurfing, water skiing and pedal boats. The crystal clear waters off Corfu’s coast are a fantastic environment for learning to dive and snorkel.
Cool off on a hot day with a trip to Hydropolis Water Park, just 20 minutes’ drive from Sidari. Perfect for families, the park has swimming pools and a top choice of water slides and a lazy river. There are special slides and water playground for young kids, plus sports facilities and plenty of places to eat. The resort is located in a beautiful part of Corfu, and exploring the region on horseback is a favourite family attraction in Sidari. The local horse riding school will take you on a trek through the lush countryside and out along the sunny coast.
One of the best-known attractions in Sidari is the exquisite Canal d’Amour, or Channel of Love. A unique white rock formation that forms many little canals, the area has some of the clearest water in Corfu and is a lovely spot to swim. Sidari is a great jump-off point for boat excursions around the island for visitors interesting in seeing more of Corfu. After dark, Sidari’s main street becomes a buzzing nightlife zone with lots of places to eat, pubs, karaoke bars and several late night dance clubs. Pick from family-friendly venues in the evening, and later on, the nights can get pretty wild.

Corfu’s warm summers are a little milder than mainland Greece, with breezy evenings and temperate nights. Temperatures are in the mid 20s (°C) often from May through to October. July and August are the hottest months, with an average high of 31°C.
By bus: Corfu operates a cheap and efficient bus service, connecting Sidari to resorts like Corfu Town and Kassiopi. The buses run approximately once an hour.
By taxi: Taxis are easy to find in Corfu, and are a good option for airport transfers. There are several companies that operate in and around Sidari, and booking in advance is the best bet.
By car: Hiring a car gives you the freedom to explore Corfu in your own time. Sidari is the ideal base for this, and driving will give you unlimited day trip options. The resorts and airports have many international car hire companies to choose from.
Carnival: Carnival is a big event in Corfu, taking place in towns and villages across the island in February and March. The main celebrations are in Corfu Town, which features parades and floats, live music, Greek wine and a big party atmosphere. Wherever you are in Corfu, you’ll see locals dressing up and getting into the spirit of Carnival.
Wine festival: In the seaside town of Kassiopi, just half an hour’s drive from Sidari, an annual wine festival attractions locals and visitors from all over the island to taste the fruits of Corfu. As well as wine tasting, the event features Greek dancing, live music and tasty food.
