We stayed in Club Mac, in the Marte hotel, in August 2017 in a Family Twin. The hotel is in a great location, 30 minutes walk from the port, 30 minutes walk from the old town and 20 minutes walk from the beach. It offers regular free coaches to the beach and to the port. The staff at the hotel were all lovely and friendly and it was very clean and generally well looked after. Though some parts could do with a bit more TLC. However, it's also very basic. Rooms were small. Two king sized beds that just about fit in a room for a family twin for four people with only two chairs on a postage stamp of a balcony. Decent bathroom. Clean. Bathroom could do with re-tiling and a new shower, but it was ok. The room has a TV. But it was a €10 deposit for the remote and then €3.50 a day to be able to watch the TV! Only two lifts in the building we were in, which meant long delays waiting to get to and from our 6th floor room. The restaurants were basically school canteens. Food was very basic, but very varied too. The restaurants were cramped and busy with regular long queues to get a table. Two bars during the day were also busy, with no self service for more than juice anywhere in resort. The drink available was the usual all inclusive stuff, the wine was awful, but the beer was San Miguel which we enjoyed. In the evening, one additional bar was open, but if you wanted snacks at the entertainment, the only food you could get was at the premium bars. €2 for the smallest bag of popcorn ever and €2.50 for candy floss. Pools were lovely, not heated so cold at times, and while we could MOSTLY get a sun lounger, the areas around the pools were incredibly over-crowded, no control over where the loungers were put by people so you'd often find you'd been cut off from getting to a bar/snack bar/the pool/toilets. The sun loungers were fixed flat. No recline/sit up. No parasols or anyway of standing your own up. No tables. Cushions for the loungers were hire only. Everything seemed to be extra. A captive audience that could be charged for loads of stuff. The hidropark had free access, but it was €4.50 for a sun lounger when in, drinks and everything in there payable extra. Generally everything was very basic, pay for anything else, and far too busy and overcrowded.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Club Mac and we loved it! Our 5 year old was kept busy the whole time and didn't want to come home. The entertainment was great, all the different food available was great. we don have 1 grumble. Staff were lovely, hotels were clean.we will l definitely be returning for future holidays. I would recommend to anybody whether they have children or not. Amazing family holiday with some amazing memories made.

Never have we come across so many selfish people in one small place. With no thought for anyone else, no matter what time of day or night it happens to be. Screaming, shouting, running down the corridors, banging on doors. Ok so we were under no illusion that there would be a certain amount of noise as it was obviously a family fun hotel, but this was extreme, leaving us grumpy and sleep deprived, when we were all in desperate need of a break. We complained to Reps, the hotel and the 'ladies in the Orange Hut' and apart from offering us a downgraded room next door to a family who we could hear swearing at their children through the walls that was all they could offer. On a lighter note, the food was ok. The free waterpark over the road was great. None of the pools are heated, so don’t expect the water to be warm. Alcudia beach is beautiful, take the time to walk to the harbour and see the boats and sit in one of the lovely coffee houses. So serene after the bedlam of Club Mac. The walk to the beach is really easy, hardly worth getting the free bus. We went on 2 organised trip. Pirates which was incredible and I would highly recommend. Caves of Drach also amazing. Take a walk up to Alcudia old town too. It's lovely, lots of great restaurants.

We spent 10 days here from 18th -28th July with two adults and two teenagers. After generally going to Tenerife and never having been in school holiday time we were a bit wary but it was absolutely brilliant. Yes the rooms were a bit small but the amount of time you spend inside it wasn't a great issue and they were kept nice and clean. The food was good everyday and the choices varied day to day with specials but they kept core lines for even the fussiest of eaters. The service inside the restaurants were great and they kept tables cleared, and food topped up, and yes there was sometimes queues to get in but they kept it moving very quick. The entertainment changed every night and they had it at two different locations and it was outside which was nice. They had a return beach bus that ran from 10am every day, every half hour and this was free as was the port bus which ran from 7pm until 10.30pm. The beach was very nice and clean and the port area was very nice as well with a good range of shops, market stalls and places to eat if you wanted to. The market in old Alcudia is a must visit as well, so much so we went twice. There is plenty of pools on resort, and like anywhere if you want a prime location you have to get there early, but we never had a problem getting one in the afternoon. For those that want it there is also a water park over the road which is free for club mac guests. Overall I couldn't fault anything and will certainly look at returning here in the near future.
