Zafiro Palace Alcudia & Spa is a family-friendly hotel on the north eastern coast of Majorca. It's steps from Playa de Alc?dia beach and the port town of Puerto de Alcudia. The hotel is set within its own gardens, which are lined with tropical trees. Zafiro Palace Alcudia is built in a modernist design into the hills above the harbour. It has a partially shaded terrace for al fresco dining. There are 10 outdoor swimming pools, including one that's just for children. It has a water slide and a pirate ship splash park. There's a terrace area next to the pools where you can sunbathe. There's a pool bar where you can relax with a drink. You'll also find a coffee shop and a lounge bar. Wi-Fi is available throughout Zafiro Palace Alcudia. The hotel has a spa with a sauna. You can choose from a range of massages and other therapies. Several days and nights a week, the hotel provides live entertainment on its outdoor stage. It runs three kids' clubs for different age groups, and also arranges sports and other activities for its guests. Zafiro Palace Alcudia has five restaurants to choose from.

Playa de Alcudia beach is 400m from the hotel. Noted for its light coloured sand and generally calm and shallow Mediterranean waters, the beach is family-friendly and well suited to swimming. It also has a Blue Flag award, which indicates that the sea and sand meet high standards of cleanliness. The centre of Puerto de Alcudia is 300m away. Here, you can look at the boats that are moored in the port, and choose from a range of waterside bars and restaurants. The town has a lively nightlife scene, and you can visit its clubs and bars, many of which are open late into the night.

Zafiro Palace Alcudia & Spa has a buffet restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also Italian, Mediterranean, Asian and grill a la carte restaurants. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors. You can get snacks and ice cream throughout the day at the bars.

At Zafiro Palace Alcudia & Spa you can use the gym or take a bicycle and explore the areas surrounding the hotel.

Zafiro Palace Alcudia has a large pool area with a total of ten pools. The Oasis Pool has an age limit of 18 years, the pirate pool is a children's pool with pirate ships and water slides, the relaxation pool is for relaxation and the bubble pool for play and activities as well as six separate pools at the pool access rooms that may be used by all hotel guests. In addition, there are two indoor pools in the hotel's spa, one of which is 18 years old and one is a children's pool.

The hotel's rooms are decorated in a minimalist style and all have satellite TV and air conditioning. Each room also has a minibar.

Last week of the season, but hotel was excellent along with all the staff from reception to cleaners. Food was probably the best we've had on our vacations and something different at every mealtime. Rooms are very spacious and ample storage, large bath and separate walk in shower. Air conditioning, and a lovely big balcony, only drawback is had to pay for the coffee pods in the room, but overall excellent place to stay and will very likely return. We'll done Zafiro palace.

Excellent 5* hotel for family trips

Highly recommend for families with young children. Buffet options were plentiful and varied (although perhaps fewer vegetarian options than one would have expected), and a la carte option for longer length stays was very generous. Pools were excellent. When our children are older, we will come again and definitely put them in the kids' club. We really enjoyed our stay here.

What a wonderful base for our recent half-term break. It was our second stay here and I think we relished it even more than last time. We also loved the Palace Andratx, but the minute our kids walked into this property they were smitten. There's something about the way the rooms all overlook a central, tropical, garden with its patios and pools, that's cocooning in the best possible way. We didn't have time to rent bikes, but there are incredible facilities here for that, plus a good gym & spa with a blissful terrace. We enjoyed every meal, both the a la carte restaurants and the buffet, which is just a lot of buzzy & interactive fun for the kids. Alcudia's is a good spot for mooching around - the old town is really delightful and the port offers all kinds of boat trips (we rented a little motorboat to cruise along the coast). Added bonus: the basketball / football pitch gave my soccer-mad 11 year old son somewhere to go and socialise and this was a major reason for choosing this particular Palace hotel. Zafiro definitely know how to take care of you. I couldn't fault the staff and when we needed takeaway pizza for my daughter who wanted to eat in her room, it was in a box and in our hands in no time at all. Bravo to Tamara and her team for a truly wonderful stay.
