Laganas Nightlife Greece: Bars & Clubs

Renowned for its nightlife, Laganas is one of Zante's top party destinations; in fact, one of the top party hotspots in Greece! The resort attracts a young and lively crowd, particularly during the summer months when groups of mates come here to party until the sun comes up. It's a great place to bring your friends if your idea of the perfect holiday involves sun, sea, sand, and dancing until dawn.

Laganas nightlife revolves around The Strip, a street packed with back-to-back bars, pubs and clubs which stretch as far as the eye can see. Start off with a meal

Before your night really gets started, you might want to hit Kalamaki Street for some Greek food and Ouzo, so you've got plenty of energy to see you through until dawn. When it comes to clubbing, Laganas bars and clubs generally charge cheaper entry fees than a lot of European clubs, and most ticket prices include your first drink for free. The Strip is home to some of the biggest clubs in Greece outside Athens, like Rescue and Zero's. Watch out for special club nights and events like foam parties and fancy dress nights. You don't need to stop dancing just because the clubs are closing; there are plenty of afterparties happening at Laganas Beach to keep the party going!

Party on the beach

Laganas hosts legendary beach parties by day and by night, and those which start in the afternoon often go on until the sun comes up the next day. Booking in advance is essential, as tickets are limited and usually excellent value, with BBQ food and a welcome drink included. Expect drinking competitions, beer pong and limbo, as well as sunbeds where you can relax in the sun.

Laganas nightlife has plenty to offer all ages, and groups of mates often book tickets for the local booze cruises, which quickly sell out. These run from mid-afternoon until late at night and attract international DJs and guest celebrities. With free shots, entertainment, fireworks, and party games, you can enjoy face painting, plenty of drinks, and even stop offs for swimming on sunny afternoons.

If you're looking for something a little less lively than the Laganas bars, it's just a short drive to Kalamaki, where the bars and restaurants are a bit more relaxed. Here you can enjoy some authentic Greek food and sip cocktails at beachfront bars until the small hours, before taking a taxi back to your accommodation at Laganas Beach.
