You could take a 25-minute stroll to the bakery in Katastari for hot, fresh bread and while youre there, take a look at the monastery. Built in the 16th century, the monastery of St Ioannis the Baptist has uninterrupted views of the nearby island of Kefalonia and to the coast of Peloponnisos, and is a must-see.
