The flagship of the Mitsis Group, Mitsis Ramira, is an ultra-luxurious 5-star All Inclusive situated in the quiet region of Psalidi. Perched right on the shores of the sparkling Aegean Sea, you’re only ever steps away from the Blue Flag awarded beach. A mix of sand and smooth pebbles, you’ll be greeted with rows of plush sunbeds and shady cabanas. Its calm and shallow water makes it perfect for splashing around with the kids. And after a few hours of soaking up the Grecian sun, you can follow your taste buds around the traditional taverns or test out a huge variety of watersports at the eastern tip of the beach. With everything from paragliding to banana boat rides, jet-skiing to wind and kite surfing, you might want to try it all.
As for location, you’re only 4km from Kos Town, meaning you’re still within easy reach of the hustle and bustle. You can hire a bike and follow the cycle/ jogging route along the beach and into town (a slow 40 minutes with sightseeing stops). Kos is well known as the “Island of Bikes”, so you’ll find plenty of designated paths to unlock this historic city.
The hotel has three outdoor swimming pools, one with fresh water, one with an integrated whirlpool, and one just for kids, complete with a spiral water slide. The hotel also boasts an impressive daytime entertainment programme, with educational trips, local community events and special international days to make your stay as enriching as possible. Take part in aerobics, tennis, water polo, billiards, football and beach volleyball, or take a pedalo boat or canoe out on the sea. Guests can even enjoy horse and pony riding, scuba diving, paintballing and rifle shooting at an additional charge. Other activities include art lessons, bicycle tours, table soccer and darts. And when the evening draws in, the hotel puts on family-friendly entertainment that includes live bands, dance shows, professional DJs and a mini disco. While staying at the Ramira, you’ll have the opportunity to use the facilities at all 4 Mitsis Hotels at Kardamena, free of charge.
Little guests aged 4-7 years can make new friends in the Mini Club from 10am to 5pm and in the Junior Club from July-August. With games, crafts, sports, movies and lessons indoors and outdoors. There is also an Internet corner and arcade in the main building.
Mitsis Ramira Beach Hotel has five bars, including two at the pool. All serve snacks and local alcoholic drinks throughout the day and late into the evening. For slushies, make a beeline for the bustling Aqua bar. Or, for a quieter vibe, savour hot dogs and classic cocktails at the Chess bar. As you wind down for the day, you can tuck into specialist teas and pastries or catch spectacular sunsets with an aperitif at the lounge bar.
The main restaurant overlooks the hotel’s lush gardens, serving a fresh Mediterranean buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with plenty of variety for all tastes. Head over to Brunch at the Italian to get your fix of eggs benedict and buttery pancakes. And if you love wood-fired pizza straight out of the oven, book yourself into the Italian a la carte, II Grande Forno. Meat lovers can indulge in the finest cuts and exotic salads in Meat a la carte. And then there’s the Gelateria, offering sweet and savoury crepes and gelato on the beachfront. For juicy burgers and gyros, hang out at the Beach Bar.
Rooms are bright and airy with contemporary wooden furnishings. From double rooms with marble flooring to spacious family suites, all well-appointed options come with a flatscreen satellite TV, a balcony or terrace, a minibar and air conditioning as standard. Choose from views over the beach, pool or gardens.
If you can tear yourself away from the fine food and luxury, take a trip to Kos Town. Only 9 minutes away by car, you could sample the local Greek specialities at the marina or take a boat trip to the surrounding islands. Kos Town has a bustling party scene with a number of bars and nightclubs that offer karaoke, DJs and live music. Cultural points of interest include the Tree of Hippocrates, the mediaeval Neratzia Castle and the Archaeological Museum of Kos. If you're looking for a day out, you can take a short drive from the hotel to the archaeological site of Asklepieion and walk through the ruins of the healing temple.
This island is also home to jaw-dropping natural beauty, from the therapeutic springs, the wetlands at Alykes, and Mount Dikeos.

Pleasant stay
The Ramira is a lovely hotel. Beautiful grounds, very clean and friendly staff. Good, quality drinks and cocktails which are well presented. There are elements of this hotel which is five star. For example, when arriving you are greeted with a drink, a refreshing towel and your cases are taken to your room. Beach towels are provided and cleaned regularly. Staff are friendly, rooms are cleaned to a high standard and are comfortable. Pools are well kept and the grounds are beautiful. Entertainment is good. Unfortunately it gets really busy so you have to get in early to get a seat. They had a beach party with DJ and fireworks when we stayed which was good fun. Now for the areas of improvement which in my opinion would bring it from a 3+ hotel to a 5 star. The main restaurant isn't that great if I'm honest. It felt very hectic, a bit outdated and staff were overworked and rushing around. You stick to the leather chairs, there's no air conditioning and the waiters often get your drinks order wrong. It was a running joke between us to see if we would get what we asked for. It took a while to receive our drinks but this is probably because of how busy it was. The food in the hotel is great if you're a meat eater, not good if your vegetarian or vegan I'm afraid. A lot of the so called vegetarian/vegan options contained meat even though the label said differently. For example, a stuffed tomato dish was labelled vegan/ veggie looked like it had meat in. When I asked I was told it had "a little bit of beef in". This resulted in me sticking to salads and potatoes for 2 weeks. Even the tomato sauce for pasta was near the bolognaise so contamination from the meat to the veggie sauce was apparent. If you wanted a cheese and tomato toastie from the snack bar, they would take the ham out so just be aware not to have them if you're veggie! This was discussed with the team at reception and she seemed to understand so hopefully they will be a bit more considerate to us non meat eaters in future but who knows... Food was repetitive, kids selection was pasta, bolognaise, tomato sauce or chicken everyday. No variation. The salads were my saving grace. A good choice and all fresh. The Al la Cartes were disappointing. We heard so many good things but we were a bit underwhelmed. They are part of the main restaurant so it doesn't feel particularly separate or special. My quinoa salad was enjoyable though and beautifully presented. It's also incredibly hot so not exactly enjoyable, just wanted to eat and leave! There's a good choice of areas to sit and have a drink in the evenings other than the main area. It just takes so long to be served. You could be waiting a good 15 mins before anyone comes to you. We asked for different cocktails and they were happily made for us. The pancake hut is a lovely touch. Just be prepared to wait 45 mins for a pancake or waffle. It takes ages! Only 1 staff member doing the work. They do lovely iced coffees there too and I enjoyed my soya iced frappe. All served by friendly staff. Even though the hotel was clean, we were shocked to see that vomit from an unwell child wasn't cleaned up fast enough. A good 10 or so minutes passed before staff came to clear it and even then it was just a little wipe with a mop. The smell and sight was quite unpleasant. Overall, feel a bit cheated that we paid so much for a five star hotel. We had a pleaent stay but the cost definitely didn't represent our experience sadly. The website gave the impression of a luxury resort but didn't live up to the sell. There's so much potential here but it's not quite there which is a shame.
Very nice family hotel
We have stayed at this hotel for 9 nights, during high season. When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed by the staff. We were offered a fresh towel, a drink and a puzzle game for the kids. The check-in was smoothly. However, when we got to our room it was clear that we did not get the room we asked and paid for. We booked a family room on the poolside and got a double room with an extra bed and babybed on the seaside. When we complained at the reception they tried to convince us that we got an updrade since we had seasight. I was clearly annoyed by this answer. Eventually we got a family room on garden side for the first night and we were able to move to the right room on the second day. During our trip we heard several people with the same experience so there must be a hotel policy problem in that area. Fortunatley, from the second day onwards everything was perfect. The staff was very kind and you can ask them anything, our room was cleaned every day, the hotel was clean, the all inclusive was very extensive, their was plenty of food to choose from, the beds on the beach are comfy, there is a massage service at the beach, etc. The city of Kos is easy to reach by bike (15min) or bus. The hotel is really kid friendly and we had a great family vacation!
BEWARE! NOT A 5 STAR ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL…
This hotel is outdated and the atmosphere is simply dull. Rooms are ok but it does not feel like a 5 star hotel. Supposedly this is an all inclusive hotel but the minibar in the room contains simply nothing and refilled every other day. So you should managed your thirst with a 1.5 liter of water per day (we were two adults and a 1,5 year old baby, so we have to buy water from supermarket) Meal options are very limited, fried fish and spaghetti are the only valid hot meal options three day in a row. The restaurant area is dark and poorly ventilated. Some staff are kind and try to help as much as they can but most of the rest are reckless. And also there is a strange smell in the main pool which is pretty small for a hotel like this. Our clothes are discolored like they are bleached, once we wear them right after swimming there… Long story short, I regret to stay there and would not recommend it.
