Hotel on a steep hill but ok for a short break
Arrived on the 3rd Aug because we were a family of 6 we had to get 2 taxis which cost us €50 each (advice if ur doing ur own transfer then pre book it arrived at Koni village hotel which took roughly 30 mins got to the hotel and boy that was steep climb!!! Anyway checked in we had 2 rooms and I was in 807 the room was spacious and but the bathroom was small the bed was huge enough for 3 and we had a single bed as there was 4 of us in a room We had the AI package and went for dinner Food was ok the restaurant manager was great very helpful and pleasant and always a smile After dinner we took a walk to stalida literally turn left and on ur right by the hotel with slides there is an under passage where u go under and it takes u to the other side we then proceed to the beach kids loved the beach u have shops restaurants etc We went to our room and had a bath when we emptied the bath our bathroom flooded all this water came up through the drain in the bathroom and all this gunk came through the drain it smelt and was horrible I had to leave tue water in the bath I went and told reception and they said they would have someone to fix it the next day The breakfast at the hotel was ur standard hot n cold the pool was great it was massive and also very deep there is another smaller quieter pool at the front of the hotel lunch was ok food was a bit repetitive the evening was a bit boring no entertainment for the kids maybe a mini disco would have been good or bingo the reception told me that the man had fixed the bath so we went to go and gave a bath and when I went to go n drain the water the bathroom flooded!! I literally lost the plot with the reception and demanded to be moved!! So we got moved to 803 which wasn’t bad but better but her not as good lol but couldn’t be bothered to argue!!! The food got a bit boring but best part was the pool for the kids overall okish if ur on a short break but certainly wouldn’t stay for a week
HATE THE FACT THAT WE WERE FORCED TO LEAVE DUE TO OUR HOLIDAY BEING OVER, I WANT TO LIVE HERE ALWAYS ❤
Booked double room ALL INCLUSIVE 7 NIGHTS no hidden charges or extra costs, FREE AIR CON was perfect as some other places charge for it... there is a room tax as with all places it is a few euros for the week, nothing, Was GREETED and checked in so FAST, by my favourite guy from chania, the complex is on a little hill but MANAGEABLE, I am sure they will help you with your case if you are wanting to leave them at RECEPTION or need them taking up to your room because of AGE/ILLNESS/DISABILITY ect the STAFF ARE THE BEST and have a great WORK ETHIC ! always on hand and enthusiastic about their work and island, they ask if you need help with anything in every interaction. Very capable and Bilingual diverse team had no problems decoding my yorkshire hyroglyphs. ALWAYS A KALIMERA HERE! .... Booked us a day tour to the LEGENDARY PALACE of knossos and the capital city heraklion, amazing stuff! THEY EVEN let us into breakfast early and packed us a LUNCH BASKET together so CUTE of them.. Rang a taxi for us so we could have a nice ROMANTIC NIGHTTIME MEAL out at ROMANTIC CORNER, google it. Just wow.... Had a minor ISSUE WITH THE ROOM from some maintenance before our arrival but a lady from their EXCELLENT CLEANING TEAM sorted it in a flash, it was NO HASSLE and refreshing to see everything here works seamlessly it is fully on point, was a bit wounded it was 2 single beds BUT WE MANAGED and they were COMFY slept really well, big wardrobe, big mirror and table and stool to get ready for the lady and a little FRIDGE FREEZER plenty of room for our pop and bits, no kettle or anything though, good bathroom, flat screen tv with a couple of english news channels, AWESOME BALCONY GREAT VIEWS, table and chairs, 2 EXCELLENT POOLS a little play area for kids aswel as darts, ping pong, pool tables, FOOD WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD prepared by A FANTASTIC TEAM OF STAFF every day 3 times a day in their restaurant/dining area it is mainly greek dishes and i am a fussy eater but i braved it and i liked all of the things i tried nearly everything and they did also have nice CHIPS! They label everything in ENGLISH or with pictures of the animals and if you are unsure they will happily explain what things are, great selection of soft drinks and even better selection of the NOT SO soft drinks, THE BAR STAFF ARE A BRILLIANT SET OF LADS good to have a laugh with, LIVE MUSIC AND DANCE PERMONANCES. Little SHOP ON SITE but has most stuff you might want if you cannot find it here there is a BAKERY 3 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD called Kimbo cafe-Mylonas bakery, LOCAL PRICES GOOD PRICES GREAT STUFF, the beach and stallis strip is not a far stroll nor a long 1 back, it takes LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. I LOVE THIS PLACE WE WILL BE BACK YAMAS

Holiday with brother Location - fairly high up, lots of steps , great views 2 pools Tennis court & tiny church right at top of hotel/apartments. Church was locked tho’ so couldn’t go in. Small bottle water, sandwiches, apple in room as arrived late but warm & tasteless - inedible. Room near reception had lovely views and balcony sitting area on 3 sides. Strange & revolting smell around bathroom area. Shower curtain dirty and mildewed - few euros to replace? All inclusive drinking ended at 11pm so first night had to pay. Bar is around pool area and Michael- barman & Jack of all trades was really, really nice, friendly, funny, informative about area and hotel etc. Far too many guests, tasks to do for one / 2 staff ( only part of shift with with 2 staff) One evening in 10 day stay had good band on. Mainly English but I’d have preferred Greek music as in Crete. Breakfast - sliced green peppers, chunks cucumber, tomatoes, feta cheese, cereals, eggs, breads, cheeses, but the salad seemed to take pride of place and plentiful!! Baked beans, pale bacon, hot dog sausages, diced carrots. Cereals, breads, Fried eggs, eggy bread, battered apple slices. Delicious coffee machine. No fizzy drinks at breakfast. Watery machine juices but okay. Most welcoming cálemera/ calespera greetings on entering dining room by smiley Yannis I think his name was & another friendly tall young man. One other was ermmmm more suited to working in a funeral parlour I think. He’d float, not walk around, whipping your plate away even before you’d finished eating!! No expression whatsoever. Snacks - slices cake Lunch - never had so can’t comment Evening meal - much the same as breakfast All very disappointing as was looking forward to healthy Greek & Mediterranean cuisine - lovely in Salida - walking distance - beaches, water sports, bars, restaurants, shops, excursion centres etc - & Hersonniss - 15 euros in taxi For an all inclusive holiday not good value for money or if you’re on a very tight budget as most people we spoke to had to eat out Weather was great, Michael was the best barman in my view. Met some lovely international guests - a lot of French, Dutch & with the Nottingham girls, family from near Bradford, had a great laugh,
