Great location right on the beach basically. Was exactly as expected, 2 star price, 2 star accommodation, that was all I wanted, a room to sleep in and that was all it was. Only a couple of issues, reception seemed to be open sporadically, had to phone on last day and wait an hour for someone to turn up so I could get my passport from the safe box.

Potentially the worst hotel in the world!

I've stayed in some grim hotels but this believe me is by far the worst. The pictures make this place look nice so was thinking people were exaggerating or had high expectations you know it's bad when I complain. I really don't even know where to start. We arrived with pretty low expectations knowing it's a party place, with the attitude of we don't go on holiday to sit in the hotel anyway, to a strong smell of what I can only describe as gone off cabbage. The 24 hour reception was closed with a few numbers on the door to call (just as well my battery hadn't died and was able to at 3am) after calling three different numbers we eventually got through to a man who showed us to the room. The room was clean on the surface and appeared to meet our basic needs and thought it's not that bad...how wrong we were. The noise of shrieking children, sucking on balloons in the streets and the extremely loud thudding of the night club one room away we did find this pretty funny in the first ten minutes so we decided to go out. Kavos it's self is filthy, rubbish everywhere but the local people are lovely, shops and take aways open until 6am. It's a great night out and the view on the beach is amazing. We booked what was supposed to be self catering there's absolutely no way that can be classed as self catering even the absolute basics were not in there so it works out really expensive because you can't possibly eat anything but snack type food in there which is fine if you're only going for few days but if you go for nine like we did it's a big problem. The rooms windows are rotten and they only provide one key which doubles up as the electric power so don't bother booking this unless you plan on sticking side by side with the other person because there is no option of a spare key. The only way you can charge your phone is when you are in the room. The shower room is a joke you can forget feeling clean for the whole holiday. Bring your own towels as ours weren't changed for four days also be aware there are no shower curtains or doors so everything gets piss wet through there's nothing to dry anything on so over the balcony wall is the only way ( not great if it's windy). It states you get free wi fi but we didn't get any signal for it so do also take that into consideration. The beds are uncomfortable, the outside looks like an abandoned hotel in a third world country (it really is that bad) boards every where, rubbish everywhere, a once fountain is now a smelly swamp of rubbish and bugs ( after returning from a night out physically made me sick twice) the room is unbelievably hot and'm absolutely covered in bites . I like a party but at some point you do need sleep the room was that unbearable we took to sleeping on the beach. I honestly can't stress how bad this place is I could complain all day it really ruined what would of been a great holiday. Don't expect any sort of nice views on a balcony being a beach complex it's really nothing like they advertise in the description the pool area is tiny and nothing going on as described. Please don't make the mistake we did it avoid at all costs. It's known locally as the worst hotel and it really is just that. Love holidays really needs to go and see this place and please stay in room 102 to get a real feel of what we did. It also states free use of the sunbeds on the beach but was told on one occasion that if you didn't buy a drink from Atlantis you had to pay. So stand your ground and sat it states free use and it's the only good thing about the hotel just make sure you're in the right area beforehand. I was only expecting basics but it didn't even deliver that. Apart from the hotel had a great holiday just really did put a downer on it and has seriously changed my outlook on booking in the future.

Awful avoid When we arrived at the trabukos hotel, we where greeted by a very nice receptionist, and where taken to our room. He advised us that we had been given the best room in the hotel and that he had stayed in that room many times before. We thanked him for his greeting and tried to settle in for the night. Sadly this is where things went wrong, the beds where absolutely horrid, we may as well have slept on the floor the beds where like cement, when we showered the whole room became flooded and we had to use towels to mop up the water. The inside of the bathroom was not finished and looked like the door frame had been patched up, the toilet itself was lose and was an issue when sitting in it, we did let reception know but they said not to worry that was normal, this is not normal, Having to ask for toilet paper, it’s not something a hotel guest should have to do. Not being able to flush toilet paper was an issue for me as I found this to be unhygienic and placing used toilet in a clear plastic bags was not something I ever expected to have to do. This hotel does not even rate at two stars in my opinion. Thankful that we where far away from the nightlife and clubs, if we had of been closer the noise levels of would have been awful. Sadly walking around this resort was disgusting, drug remnants where outside nightclubs ( this is what is called balloons) helium canisters that are placed in the balloon and inflated so that the person can inhale and get high, please see attached pictures, Broken glass and bottles everywhere, this was every single morning. The smell from the sewers was everywhere we went and was almost impossible to avoid, made it very hard to eat at outdoor restaurants, which was nearly every restaurant in the resort. This resort is for young irresponsible people who have no control, this is not for families or older people. I would strongly suggest avoiding at all costs. How can love holidays hold there name to Kavo’s and represent what I can only describe as a filthy disaster. I would suggest that you get a representative to come stay at this hotel and evaluate the rooms and the area. The beach was a litter disaster, cigarette butts and garbage everywhere, we would strongly suggest wearing shoes. The one positive note is that the staff and people who live here I Kavo’s are amazing, the hospitality is outstanding, the customer service is second to none. I felt so bad for the people who have to put up with filth. Sadly we will not be returning to this part of Greece again. And again please go not take your children to this resort. Please of you don’t believe in reviews, believe in mine.
