Perfect hotel (a little far out)

Stayed here for a week with a friend in individual rooms. The room was lovely! Cleaned daily with clean towels if required. Welcome pack of cheese & wine a lovely touch. Mini fridge in room very useful. Lovely balcony overlooking the stunning, will maintained gardens. Breakfast was lovely, everything that you could wish for or want! Had evening meal once but wasn't impressed at all. The so called pork loin was more like a mushy hamburger. Was in an even numbered room which meant I had a view over the beautiful pool and gardens (good point to remember). The gardens and pool were beautiful. Plenty of sunbeds around, lifeguard on duty during the day. Pool bar serving drinks and snacks (snacks until 3pm, drinks until 6pm). Reception immaculate! Staff absolutely perfect and extremely helpful... Nothing too much for them to do! Lovely and friendly little shop on site selling necessities and lovely gifts from the typical to leather goods. All in all a perfectly relaxing holiday. The only downside is that it is slightly out of the way from everything. Nearer to Son Xoriguer but a good 5 minute taxi ride from the actual marina and main restaurants (taxi costing between 5 & 8 euros). I certainly wouldn't hesitate to return if I was looking for a totally relaxing holiday!

I read all the reviews before booking and we were not disappointed by the standard of this hotel. Its clean, staff are lovely. Breakfast good but coffee in machine awful. We went in October but it was just so quiet. Had not realised when booking with Jet 2 how remote this part of the island is or how many flies there were.. We spent over two hours on the coach after landing so if you are planning on staying in this hotel book a private transfer or you will get a tour of every hotel in the are as you drop off and pick up fellow travellers. There was entertainment every evening which did help pass the time a bit. Not that I mind quiet but this part of Minorca had very little to offer us. A few restaurants were open but the food was nothing to write home about, We wandered about in the evening and saw no one in the surrounding streets. A bit eerie to be honest. I would suggest booking in high season and also ask for an upstairs room. We were on the ground floor and had someone upstairs who had the television on very late at night.

Lovely relaxing break

This is a nice hotel in the quieter Son Xoriguer area of the resort. The area around the hotel is very peaceful, although, it is only a 10 – 15 minute stroll to the marina where there are lots of bars and restaurants. The Son Xoriguer beach is 2 – 3 minutes across the road from the hotel and has a couple of bars and restaurants as well as a supermarket. This was our second visit to this hotel and we stayed in a very comfortable one bedroom apartment, which gave us a lot more space than the hotel rooms. The hotel is spotless with plenty of hand sanitiser in all public areas. The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard by the very hard-working maid (we were in room 404). All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and efficient. We only stayed on a bed and breakfast basis as we like to get out and try the different restaurants but the breakfast was very good, with lots of choice of both hot and cold food. The guests were mainly couples as it was outside the school holidays, although I would expect a lot of families at other times of the year due to the facilities on offer. There is a lovely big pool with lots of sun loungers and a good-sized children’s section. There was always plenty of sun beds available at all times of the day, although, this could be due to the time of year and the fact that holidaymakers are greatly reduced due to Covid. Cala n Bosch is a lovely laid-back resort with plenty of bars and restaurants around the marina and I appreciate that everyone has different opinions when it comes to restaurants, our 2 favourites were Mr Jaume and Laume. And again, in my personal opinion 2 to avoid are El Pato and Noray. All in all we had a very good holiday. Would I recommend Princesa Playa? Definitely.
