Mauritius

Mauritius is in the Indian Ocean, just off the southeast coast of Africa. It’s known for its white beaches, mild sea waters and miles of coral reef. The climate is very hot and sunny, with plenty of heat to last all year-round.

The best time to visit Mauritius is during the dry season when there are less rainfall and mild temperatures. June marks the beginning of the dry season, which lasts until the end of September.

The wet season runs from November to April, with January being the wettest month of the year. The average rainfall is around 235mm spread over 17 rainy days of the month. Temperatures are still in the low-30s and there are at least 13 hours of sunlight per day.

Temperatures are still very high in the dry season, which is another reason why it’s the best time to go to Mauritius. The region has an average high of 25°C with south easterly winds blowing through the coast to help keep you cool and comfortable.
