Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Mauritius in May?
Mauritius is in the Indian Ocean, to the east of southern Africa and Madagascar. This means the island has a tropical climate with hot weather all year round. Its closeness to the Tropic of Capricorn means it has a distinct wet season from November to April. May’s the first month of the year where the amount of rain reduces a lot, so you'll have lots of sun if you're going at this time. Coastal and south easterly winds will help to keep you cool, while the country’s mountains in the north and west are the warmest and driest regions.
Averages
The average high in Mauritius is 27ºC in May, which is perfect beach weather. Things stay nice and warm in the evenings too with temperature only cooling to 19ºC. The sea temperature is 26ºC, which is lovely for swimming, while humidity’s moderate. There’s 97mm of rain over 14 days, and you can expect 11 hours of daylight with seven hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be high so make sure you bring plenty of sun cream. Sunset’s at around 5.45pm for much of May.
