What is included ?
Get yourself down to Playa del Ingles’ coast and find the best sunbathing spot on the beach, chill out on a lounger or go for a swim in the sea. If you fancy something more energetic, check out the water sports centre and challenge your mates to a go on the banana boat. On a really hot day, visit the Aqualand water park and spend the day splashing about on the slides, rubber rings and lazy rivers. When the sun goes down, get yourself to the pub and get ready for the island’s best night out. Clubs in the Kasbah area start late and finish late – it’s a marathon, not a sprint!
Playa del Ingles’ beach is right in the centre of the resort, a three kilometre sweep of golden sand smoothing into a frothy blue shore. The beach is big, colourful and sociable, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas and a busy seafront filled with shops, cafes and bars. After you’ve recharged your batteries, the beach is also the best place in Playa del Ingles for a little adventure. The water sports centre is fantastic, giving you the chance to race across the water on jet skis, try something new like parasailing, or test your balance on a speedy banana boat ride.
There are plenty of attractions in Playa del Ingles worth making into day trips, if you can tear yourself away from the beach. Just 10 minutes’ drive away is the superb Aqualand, a huge water park with swimming pools, high-octane water slides and rapids. Race your mates from the swooping Boomerang slide or grab a rubber ring and take it easy on the lazy river. If you miss the beach, the park even has an artificial surf beach with a wave pool. For a different kind of ride, visit the famous dunes of neighbouring Maspalomas and ride a camel across the rolling golden sand.
Playa del Ingles is one of the best nightlife destinations in Gran Canaria. Here, the nights out are long and loud, getting going late and finishing in the early hours. Get the night off to a good start at the pub or find a swanky cocktail bar, and keep an eye out for promoters handing out offers, as well as theme nights and bar crawls. When it gets late, head to big clubs like the Ministry of Sound that keep going until 6am.
