It was ok till the second night and than the problem started, banging sounds from the ac and we could not sleep at night for 2 nights as it was warm. No spare fan were given or room move options were given. If a good night sleep is what you want than dont book this hotel. Not worth the money and will never book this hotel ever.

Compact and Modern Rooms, Iffy Amenities

May 2022 | Alice M

The Hotel Barcelona Princess was a mixed bag. The hotel is very close to the Convention Center/Beach area which is good if you are attending a convention (which I was) and not so good if you want to be near the more interesting parts of the city. It is a several miles walk to the Gothic Quarter or La Sagrada Familia but there is good public transport or taxis. The hotel room is compact and modern and lacking comfortable seating. The hotel is quite vertical so there was often a wait for the elevators. The food situation was not great, nor was the lobby seating area. The service was mixed – there was a guard who reminded me of Lurch from the Addams family. But the view of the city was great and the price was far better than the nearby Marriott or Hilton.

Just a three star property, Good for youngsters to hang around

May 2022 | Jothydev

Mixed feeling about the overall experience. Have stayed in the same property 10 years ago. But changed a lot. Took almost 60 minutes to check in despite reservation and all documents. Was shocked to see only a wooden stool like chair in the room to sit. Apart from bed and this chair nothing to sit comfortably in the room despite rated as a four star property. Gymnasium is a tiny box like room with only one treadmill. My wife and I researched a lot. Oscar a senior staff was so helpful. So also Anna in the reception. Moved to a suit room by paying extra money only for a comfortable seating for me to work and be in virtual meetings. The major merit is the great view from the room. Restaurant at the reception level also is very good. Breakfast is with vast spread of delicious dishes. Omelet comes with extra payment!!! Cost was at par with nearby branded property when we reserved via kenes for ATTD. A lesson learnt. Brand is always important in ensuring quality.
