Great Location with superb views & facilities but food was Disappointing

We stayed at this hotel in February 2020 for a week and had a great holiday in the Winter sunshine. The room was spacious & well equipped (albeit a bit dated). The views were simply incredible as all you could see was the Sea and the Sky. The hotel had a nice outdoor swimming pool & a small, but adequate heated indoor pool. There was a tennis court, Badminton court and games room. The evening entertainments was dull, dated and disappointing. This alleged 4* hotel should really only be a 3* at best, as the food was Very poor & lacked imagination. I understand that the kitchen manager strives to cut costs wherever possible, but we will not stay here again because of the quality of the food, most of which was precooked and little was fresh. Shame really, as the location was stunning, but the restaurant left us disappointed.

Superb food with a view

We never stayed at this hotel but we did eat here several times as we could walk from our nearby air bnb. We loved it! They have a lovely outdoor patio and also a solarium area inside for café style dining. It’s a different menu than the dining room. Everything we tried was excellent. Service was quick and the waitress was pleasant and polished.

Once a jewel, nowadays a soulless hotel ... pure disappointment by new administration

I enjoyed this hotel for a decade but since warm, guest friendly and reliable Mauricio has left the place, this hotel is managed poor by its new administrator Bernadet. Returning guest might feel the disappointment in Bernadets sad dealing with frequent guests. Do not expect the charme and easy way of professional Mauricio, the former manager, who made this place to a feelgood hotel. Nowadays you will not feel this again as the new priority of its new administration is making fast money. If you pass by for having a Christmas dinner there, expect paying the same high price as first visitors do as Bernadet will not care if you are frequent guest or not. The new and bigger restaurant feels like a mensa. Bright as completely white coloured but cold as you will miss all the flowers and trees that made this restaurant a special and warm place before This is an example how important it is to choose an administration with a philosophy for guests instead of focussing on management procedures only. What a sadness, this hotel has lost its soul!!
