Second Stay Here

We stayed here 2.5 years ago and I rated it a 5. This stay I am rating it a 3. Our room was small and tight. I had to move a bed to access the closet. Bathroom was also small. The room was very warm. Even though it was December we turned the heat off and opened a window the entire time. It was somewhat noisy outside with traffic, dogs barking and people yelling, obviously more so with the window open. Breakfast was below average.

excellent staff excellent location!

We travelled to Lisbon for our wedding anniversary for 3 nights and chose Mundial for its fab location. We couldnt fault the staff or hotel, it was warm and friendly. the room although a little old fashioned was in keeping with the hotel and very large and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and gallons of hot water from a high pressure shower was welcome. The staff brought us sparkling wine the first evening and wished us a happy anniversary which was a lovely touch and made us feel so special. The breakfast is very nice, buffet style and plenty of choice. we ate in the panoramic resturant the last night. Although v nice it was a bit chilly in there in november and the view hampered by the internal lights. I think it would work better for lunch. WE would highly reccomend this hotel id def stay there again 10/10

Good location and value with excellent breakfasts

The Hotel Mundial is situated just a few minutes walk from the Rossio Metro making it convenient for both airport access and the main Lisbon attractions. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. However, the windows provide little noise insulation and we had a sleepless first night in room 216 being kept awake by street noise of traffic, trams and people. We reported our concerns to the reception the next morning and they efficiently arranged for a room change to 604; a room facing towards an inner court yard which proved to be a haven of tranquility giving us an excellent nights sleep. The breakfasts are substantial and well organised; hot drinks are served at the table whilst the diverse buffet of both hot and cold food is self-service. The rooftop bar provides great views of Lisbon. All the staff very friendly and efficient and at 214€ for two nights the Hotel Mundial was good value for money.
