Lux Belle Mare Hotel & Villen is a luxury, All Inclusive hotel with a private beach, on a quiet stretch of the Mauritius coastline. The hotel is set among gardens, so you can recline under the shade of a palm tree while the children take part in the activities on offer. The hotel has a heated infinity pool with an integrated kids' pool. You can relax by the pool or on the beach while the waiter prepares your drinks. There are cabanas on the beach and by the pool, so you can sunbathe in total comfort. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. There are two bars and six restaurants. One of the restaurants offers buffet meals, and five are a la carte. For something sweet, the hotel also has a cafe and a patisserie. Children can join the kids' club or make use of the playground and games room. As well as daily family-friendly shows, the hotel also puts on kids' shows and live music. There's a gym and a range of fitness classes, or you can have a game of tennis. On the beach, there's also volleyball. The hotel spa has Turkish baths, a sauna and a selection of massage treatments.
Lux Belle Mare Hotel & Villen sits on its own stretch of sandy beach. The hotel has a mini market on site, and there's a supermarket 2km away. There's also a golf course 2km away, which offers equipment to hire. In the streets around the hotel you'll find a few restaurants, bars and cafes. There's a shopping centre 1km away. The closest resort is Port Louis, which is the capital of Mauritius. Here you can do some sightseeing, or visit the designer shops that line the waterfront. Port Louis has plenty of bars and cafes.
The buffet restaurant offers international food. The a la carte restaurants are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve Indian, Chinese, American, Mediterranean and international food. During the day, you can also get light snacks, ice cream and tea and coffee.
You can explore the clear tropical seas with a trip on the hotel's glass bottom boat, or have a go at kayaking or water skiing.
All rooms have pool access and either a balcony or a terrace. Your room will be air-conditioned and have a minibar, a safe and a TV.

Amazing
This was an amazing experience that exceeded all expectations. We came here in December 2019 (just didn’t get round to leaving a review before). The service was impeccable and what made this holiday was the staff. They go above and beyond and treat you like family. It was the best holiday and experience we have ever had.
Honeymoon Disaster
We booked our dream honeymoon with Lux Belle Mare for mid July, 8 nights in a villa with private pool, all inclusive. I will preface this review by stating that I have the upmost sympathy for the staff of Lux Belle Mare on the loss of the hotel however we were left very disappointed by the treatment we received from the hotel. Our travel agent contacted us on the day of the fire to inform us that there was an incident taking place and that the hotel would do their best to accommodate us. We empathised with the situation and assumed we would receive an update in a few days. What followed was a complete failure on the management of Lux to accommodate us or to even keep us informed. We spent the 10 days before our wedding contacting our travel agent every day to find out if Lux had offered any update and I will state now that we ended up in the position of having to cancel our honeymoon the day after our wedding and take our fully packed suitcases home. We packed our suitcases for honeymoon not knowing if we had a hotel to stay in in Mauritius and we woke up the morning after our wedding, less than 24 hours away to boarding our flight to Mauritius still not knowing from Lux if they could offer us a room or not. We entirely sympathise that a fire is a disaster that they cannot be blamed for, however the complete lack of information we were offered was within their control. The day after our wedding and the day before we were due to fly, Lux finally offered us a room in the Lux Grande Baie resort, the only resort that we had requested we were not placed in (due to my husband's taste preferences and the Grande Baie's lack of buffet restaurant, we were not confident he would have been able to eat there). Despite the food concerns, we could have considered this option in a desperate plea to save our honeymoon however despite paying thousands in upgrade costs to have a villa with private pool in Lux Belle Mare, we were being offered the base room in Lux Grande Baie. Again, in order to save our honeymoon, we would have accepted this downgrade, however we could not consider it when we were informed that we would receive no refund for the upgraded room costs that we had paid and now would not receive. This was insulting to say the least. At this point we were left with no choice but to cancel our dream trip as Lux had dragged their feet long enough to prevent us trying to book another hotel ahead of our flight. This all occurred the day after our wedding and the day before we were due to fly. Those precious moments following our marriage are irreplaceable and cannot be replaced by a refund. I should not have been crying from stress on our first day as newlyweds, due to the failures of a hotel. We paid Lux a substantial amount of money for our accommodation and felt that we were totally ignored and that they had no desire to accommodate us. We sympathise with the situation Lux found themselves in regarding the fire, but due to the treatment which followed, unfortunately, we would never consider booking in a Lux property again. We were so excited to stay in such a luxury property for our honeymoon and felt we were truly going to experience the best holiday ever, however I would urge anyone considering booking with this company to reconsider. We have never received such poor treatment from a hotel, let alone for what was supposed to be one of the most special trips we would ever take.
Absolutely amazing ……….. Paradise ☀️
Back from an Amazing 3 week holiday in Mauritius. The Lux Belle Mare resort was one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at. We had a fantastic two weeks there. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them. In particular we would like to mention and thank Hema, Veena (sari queen), Sheila, Ravin, Nitin, Ravi, Bilal, Oliver, Reshma (housekeeping)…. They went out of their way to make sure we were always looked after, their hospitality is what made the resort feel like home. The restaurants were great. The main buffet restaurant catered for everyone and we loved the food there. We had a booking at Amari but sadly we couldn’t experience it. Duck Laundry was also very nice. Beach Rouge was lovely. We stayed in the Ocean Suite and everyone kept telling us that’s the best room, we were literally a few steps away from the beach. We loved our room. The daily coffees were amazing at Cafe Lux, all staff serving were great they got to know our usuals. Was good having a coffee and a chat. Two weeks into our holiday the resort caught on fire. The Lux group managed to relocate 300 guests that same day. It was so sad to see a resort we had spent the amazing two weeks in burnt down. Very grateful all guests and staff were safe. We would love to come back once the resort is rebuilt. It was absolutely fantastic. The last week we spent in Lux Grande Bai. Also another lovely resort but was very modern, we preferred the style of Lux Belle Mare it was rustic and had that personal touch which we didn’t experience at Lux Grande Bai. It was a nice resort but as we had experienced Belle Mare it didn’t match up to it. The staff at Lux Grande Bai were also nice. It felt nice when we saw some of the staff relocated to the new resort as again they were their usual helpful selves. Once Lux Belle Mare is rebuilt we hope to come back, as we would love to complete three weeks there as planned. We would love to stay in our ocean suite again and hope it will be just the same. The beach there was paradise. Mauritius is an amazing place and we will be back. A holiday we will always remember
