A true delight on the Amalfi coast

In October 2022, my Husband and I spent a week at the beautiful Hotel Margherita for our Honeymoon. It is agreed by both of us that this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The proof is in the following: - We had emailed the hotel months in advance requesting a king size bed, which they graciously provided us. Days before arrival, we received a message via WhatsApp from the hotel notifying us of procedure, including a welcome Package for us to review. WhatsApp was their primary communication tool, which was perfect for when you needed anything from the hotel. - Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff member who took our bags and guided us to the front lobby. We were then asked to sit and relax and were brought a glass of wine to settle in with. The desk attendant, Chiara, was extremely informative in explaining the WhatsApp chat, the shuttle schedule, breakfast times and anything else we needed. We were then escorted up to our room, where we were able to settle in. - The hotel is amazing – it sits high on the cliff and overlooks the sea. We had beautiful sunrises and we enjoyed sitting on the patio, enjoying a drink, and listening to the happenings of Praiano. - Because of its location, there are a few restaurants within walking distance, but the shuttle is worth it. They will bring you wherever you need to go and will pick you up centrally in town. It is extremely convenient, and we always enjoyed Phillipo’s music! - Prior to the trip, I wondered if we would be missing out not staying in Positano. I regret even thinking this, as the town of Praiano is quiet, safe, and overall, a pleasure to be in. you see the same locals daily and were greeted warmly by everyone you passed. Not to mention the restaurants are fantastic. Our favourites were Kasai (literally 100 ft from the hotel) , Saghir (MUST TRY) , and Il Pirata. We felt very comfortable walking everywhere and loved how wonderful everyone was. - The pool area is magnificent. It was nice to spend the late afternoons on a lounge chair after the sun passed at the beach and enjoyed the scented mist when the sun was hot! - The breakfast food was phenomenal – the buffet was luxurious, and you could order hot breakfast as well – the quiche was fantastic. - Overall, our favourite part of staying here were the staff. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our stay amazing. They managed transportation for us to visit family in Cassino, made reservations at restaurants, and even went off the beaten path to bring us places in the shuttle. We felt a part of the family at Hotel Margherita, and never just a number. If you haven’t booked already, I highly suggest visiting this place and the town they call home. To Hotel Margherita – thank you for being the highlight of our Honeymoon!

From the minute you enter you are enjoying warm hospitality, and attention to details by the owner and stuff From the moment you enter, you are made to feel at home. The welcome drink and canapes, the personal English speaking team available for any request. The attention of the owner to every detail. The gorgeous sea view balcony room was comfortable with cheerful decorations. The terrace, pool and fitness erea, all look amazing. Shuttle service, excellent breakfast & beach bag were impeccable My one sorrow is that after such a raving review I wouldn't be able to afford it next time.

I came to Praiano off-season and was unlucky with the weather. I was booked at an Airbnb, and found Hotel Margherita on a walk. As soon as I walked into their (excellent) restaurant to get a coffee, I knew it was where I wanted to be. The staff were so helpful to me, from enquiry to check in, through my whole stay and my amazing meals, to check-out. The space is beautiful and welcoming, the facilities are top notch. It's one of very few places easily reached from the street (no stairs!) They have everything you need right there, including incredible meals with local specialties, and at the same time make it so easy to go out and experience the area. Truly above and beyond care in a lovely space. Staying there for my last few days saved my holiday!
