Experience the very best of Laganas by spending a day at the resort’s long, beautiful beach. Stretching from Kalamaki on one side all the way to Agios Sostis on the other, it’s the perfect place to sit back, relax, and soak up the warm Greek sunshine.
Arriving on the beach, hire yourself a sun bed and umbrella and set up your base for the day. Go and paddle in the clear blue waters, lie back with a good book or build sandcastles with the kids before cooling off with an ice cream from one of the beach vendors. Laganas Beach is great if you have young children, as the water is quite shallow and gently slopes out into the sea.
If you want a little more action, you’ve got plenty of options. There are no water sports on Laganas Beach, but you can rent a canoe or pedalo for some fun out on the water. If you want a longer adventure, go on a boat tour to explore the coastline. You may even be lucky enough to spot a turtle or two. If you’re near to Agios Sostis, you can cross the wooden footbridge to Cameo Island.
When you get hungry or need a snack, go to one of the many restaurants or bars that line the beach. As night falls, head into Laganas to have a meal, singalong at a karaoke bar, watch some live music, or party the night away at one of the many nightclubs.
Laganas Beach is just 15 minutes away from Zante Town by bus, where you can go shopping, visit the museums or walk along the harbour.
