Occidental Menorca

Set close to the beach on the southern coast of Menorca, Occidental Menorca is a family-friendly hotel in the small resort of Punta Prima. The interiors at Occidental Menorca are fresh with a Mediterranean feel and bright dÈcor. Outside, there are garden areas with palm trees providing natural shade. There are two main swimming pools, two separate kids' pool and a surrounding sun terrace where you can enjoy a drink from one of the two pool bars. If you want to work out, you can head over to the gym or take one of the daily aerobics classes. There are plenty of other activities including basketball, football and beach volleyball. There's also a tennis court. To relax, you can spend time in the hotel's spa, which has a sauna, a Turkish bath and the opportunity to get massages and beauty treatments. The hotel provides entertainment, including quizzes and live shows suitable for the whole family. For kids, there's a mini disco each evening. Punta Prima Beach is a short stroll from Occidental Menorca. Here, you can enjoy views of the Mediterranean Sea. If you want to venture further, there's a bus stop steps from the hotel, with buses that will take you to neighbouring towns and villages.

The hotel is 350m from the centre of Punta Prima, where there are a few shops, restaurants and bars. There's a street market twice a week, selling local produce and souvenirs. A short drive away is a water park, which has a selection of pools, slides and whirlpools for the whole family. For a day trip, you can head up to MahÛn, the capital of Menorca. Here, you'll find a variety of restaurants and bars, plus the chance to learn more about the history and culture of the island. You can head over to the fortress for views over MahÛn and La Mola peninsula.

The hotel has a buffet restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a special kids' buffet. There are four bars; a lobby bar, two pool bars and a theatre bar. The theatre bar is open in the evenings and serves cocktails, while the other bars serve drinks and snacks throughout the day.

There are three kids' clubs; one for 3-7 year olds, one for 7-10 year olds, and a teen club. Activities include face-painting, games and dressing up.
