A really fabulous spot with excellent Staff in a lovely setting.
This is a delayed review as I had stopped writing reviews for a number of years despite travelling widely with adult family or as a couple, utilising different accommodation options. My daughter and I stayed for the final week of the season on half board. This is a beautiful adult only resort and I would return in a heartbeat. Close to beaches and a small town with the usual touristy shops plus a bus service outside the hotel to travel more widely if required.A taxi can be ordered by the front desk if required. It is a reasonable distance from the airport. I think that all superlatives have already been used by reviewing guests however I shall add a few :) Front of house managers Maria and Juan professional and offered excellent customer service always with a smile. Our arrival was very late - they had set aside two trays of food for us- very thoughtful. Check in was good, the rooms are clean, beds comfortable, spacious and air con worked well. We changed rooms as we wanted a sunny balcony overlooking the woodland area-in the main building -there are a large variety of rooms to choose from. The sound proofing is unfortunately not the best but common in Spanish buildings in our experience. One can hear other guests in rooms but as not much time is spent in the rooms this did not impact our stay too much. Comments have been made about the open plan design of the bathrooms - agreed ,they don’t offer much privacy but are functional - some are better than others depending on the design of the room. They need hooks for towels and bathrobes.Hairdryers are prone to over heating and switching off so it might be worth bringing your own with an adapter. The pool area is beautiful there are plenty of sun-beds. The bar area opening onto the courtyard by the pool offers a delicious choice of well prepared food and drink. The rooftop bar was not open as it was the end of season but it was still very warm and other reviews suggest it was really special up there. There was a talented South African singer one evening which was enjoyable entertainment - during season there are plenty of bars and clubs in the town to visit. Breakfasts are amazing and can be taken inside or in the outdoor courtyard. Dinners were buffet style and delicious with attentive waiter service -drinks reasonably priced and cocktails just fantastic.Puddings were just wow and I’m not really sweet eater. The Gym was well equipped , the spa room however lacked atmosphere and the treatments were very average. It would be better if the lady doing the treatments did not smoke prior to doing the massage as it did not smell very nice. The waiters are absolutely charming and the staff here are professional and long standing - it really makes a massive difference. They also work very hard right up to the end of the season. We were really sorry to say goodbye but are quite sure they’d earned the break after a long season. So in summary this place is a gem -the only reason it doesn’t have 5 stars really are minor details.
Winter Chill
What a great week, this hotel is amazing! The rooms are modern and the beds super comfy. We went half board and the food was well presented and really tasty, freshly cooked meat and fish on the grill and stir fried food cooked with chosen ingredients. They offered a good selection of drinks and made great cocktails at a reasonable price. The bottled water was a little pricey at €3 for a small bottle. The restaurant and bar staff were really friendly and the reception staff helpful. The pool was quite cold but the pool area was clean and the sun beds were plentiful. It would have been nice to use the roof bar because it looked amazing, but due to the time of year it was closed, although the weather was really good. The hotel is in a quiet area with a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday and will definitely be visiting again soon.
A relaxing, refreshing and welcoming destination
Booked this hotel to celebrate a special birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The welcoming drink on arrival set the tone for the week and all staff are pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Our sunset view room was roomy and comfortable. Really enjoyed poolside area - plenty of loungers yet not too crowded. Hotel enjoys good location on the edge of the resort. Regular bus service but fairly easy walking if preferred. Hotel is, and looks, quite new and cleaners take obvious pride in keeping it that way. Would definitely stay here again.
